It was the decade of 80s when the fundamentalist religious Islamist forces of Pakistan with strong support of the out side world including Saudia Arabis and Arab world launched so called Jehad(Unholy War) against erstwhile USSR forces who had entered into Afghanistan. The Mullah(Religious clerics) of Afghanistan were divided into 7 different groups by ISI. It was the era of Jihadi minded former dictator General Zia ul Haq of Pakistan Army who needed support of out side world to substantiate his unlawful control over his rule. He was lucky enough and meantime Afghan war started and for this purpose his support was also needed to world. International community for some greater cause closed eyes and let this man continue as dictator. Dictator Zia did not leave no stone unturned to hit the secular, progressive and democratic people of Pakistan. During his time religious Islamists were given free hand to get money from Saudia Arabia and other Muslim countries and started building mosques and religious seminaries in every nook and corner of Pakistan. Special focus was given to Pashtun areas and tribal belt where myriad numbers of the mosques and Madrassa were built. Students were encouraged to get admissions in such Madrassa and learnt lessons regarding unholy war. At same time such Madrassa were built in Punjab province as well. South Punjab was the ideal place for the establishment of Pakistan from where they could easily get people for war in Afghanistan. When former USSR forces were pulled out from Afghanistan in 1989 Pakistan ISI directed many Jihadi organizations of Pakistan to go to Kashmir and fight there against the Indian forces. Mureedki in Lahore, the metropolitan city of Punjab province was the center of Lashkar Tayyaba, a terrorist organization fighting in India and now in Afghanistan against the allied and Afghan forces. This organization is fully supported by Pakistan intelligence Agencies and is used for the subversive activities in India. Besides there are organizations like Tableeghi Jumat(Religious Preachers) whose center is situated in Lahore also. The main focus of this Jumat is on Pashtun. 17 retired generals/Officers of Pakistan ISI are sitting in this center and encourage the people to get ready for preaching in Pakistan and world. According to some sources more than 6 million Pashtun are attached with this Jumat. Similarly more number of Punjabis are also working in this organization. Apparently these people are peace loving and do not believe in fighting. But their continued preaching makes them fundamentalists and start talking of Jihad in their groups and discussion. There are other organizations who hire people for their nefarious designs. Tableeghi Jumat is opposed to the Pashtun culture and is busy working against the culture of Pashtun. They are promoting Arabization, an Arab culture on the name of religion Islam. They do not like Pashtun names and name their near and dear as Arabis. These religious people have entered into each and every pashtun house under a conspiracy of Pakistani establishment and ISI. These people are also against music and dub musicians as infidals and enemies of God. When in 2002 MMA a religious alliance of Pakistan religious Organizations won election and their government was formed in province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa they announced a ban on all cultural activities and the centers of culture were closed. In Peshawar a famous cultural center Dabgari was closed and Artists were ordered to either leave the profession or go abroad. The profession of culture was declared as unholy and unIslamic. Many secular and progressive people started hue and cry against it but to no avail. This scribe was among those who raised voice against the atrocities of religious people. Culture plays an important role in promotion of peace. Our region needs peace and artists can play role in peace promotion but in this area artists are discouraged. They are frightened and their families are forced to pressure the artists to leave the profession. Many artists of Pashtu language were forced either to leave country or go to Tableegh. Mangal Bagh a terrorist commander has arrested many singers of Pashto language and has sent them to Islamic preaching. Those who do not obey his order is persecuted and punished. Many women singers were arrested and killed by their own relatives and Islamist terrorists. In 2009 a famous singer in Swat was assassinated by Taliab. Similarly in Peshawar Aiman Odas was killed. The land has become very close over the artists in Pakhtunkhwa and FATA. On other side the life of artists has also turned strained for them. Their livelihood and earning issues have forced them to leave the profession. Only and only the peace could be promoted by promotion of culture and artists, singers can play the role. Zia the former dictator was the first man who worked against the peace and sowed the seed of enmity among people. His disciples in Tableeghi Jumat and all religious organizations are busy to discourage culture and people attached with culture. This is the reason we see an unrest in our area and the focus of Jihadi organizations is on dismantling of the cultural activities and promotion of Arabization which against peace and prosperity in Pashtun areas.

Peshawar( ) Amn Tehrik staged a protest in front of Peshawar Press Club to denounce explosions and suicide attacks on worship places, shrines, Hujras, public places and schools by extremist. The protest was led by Zar ali khan musazai central member steering committee Amn Tehrik and was participated by Tariq Afghan, Said Mukhtar Bacha, Shahb Khattak Advocate, Muhammad Jan Gagyani Advocate, Manzoor Afridi General Secretary Tribal NGOs Consortium, Danyal Talib a student leader of Peoples students Federation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Niaz Muhammad Zakhakkhel, President National Party FATA, Khan Habib Afridi President FATA Democratic Movement, Arbab Mir Afzal Khan of Azad Pakhtun Students Federation, Usman, Taimur Iqbal, Shahabuddin Senior Program Officer Action Aid Pakistan, Naveed Iqbal, Ijaz Afridi, Shamim Shahid President Peshawar Press Club and a large number of activists of political parties and civil society organizations.

On this occasion, Tariq Afghan a leader of Azad Pakhtun Students Federation said to the participants of demonstration that students have been suffering from menace of extremism, terrorism and military operations in FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Education institutions are demolished and targeted which is a great loss to our people. This process should immediately be stopped and government is responsible to protect our education institutions and schools from menace of terrorism. Students are deprived of the basic right which is called education. When schools are bombed then where students will get education from? He posed question. He also lamented on lingering problems of the students at schools, college and university level. He demanded of the government to exempt fee of all suffered students and facilities be provided to them in admissions and other expenses. He demanded that 20% more fund from Kerry Lugar bill should be spent on education institutions and students of Pakhtunkhwa province and FATA. Tariq Afghan also demanded for the release of Mr. Muhammad Ajmal VC Islamia College University Peshawar . Zar ali khan musazai President Pakhtun Democratic Council and a central leader of peace movement said in his protesting address to people in demonstration that mosques, schools and other public places are hit by terrorists which is shocking. He deplored the incidents of Darra Adam Khel and Sulaiman khel of Badaber where innocent people were targeted by terrorists in mosque at time they were offering prayers last Friday. He demanded of compensation for affected people and urged government to stop terrorists to refrain from heinous crimes against innocent people of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He flayed that despite several years of military operation FATA was not cleared which is an irresponsible attitude on the part of government and security agencies. Manzoor Afridi General Secretary of TNC in his address said that government should take drastic steps to save the future of our nation. The situations indicate that the country is going to be lost.
Danyal Talib in his address said that Amn Tehrik is one of the best plate forms where problems of people could be discussed and issues be raised. He appreciated its leadership and all those affiliated with it. He also demanded for the solution of the problems c concerning to students and general public.

Pashtun Democratic Council strongly condemns assassination of Habib Jalib Baloch

Chairman Pashtun Democratic Council Zar ali Khan musazai has strongly condemned the assassination of Habib Jalib Baloch Central Secretary General Balochistan National Party. The assassination of Jalib proved that Baloch have been alienated and were kept deprived of their rights over their resources and home. Those who raise the issue then his/her voice is silenced by the establishment of Pakistan. The establishment is not tired saying that Pakistan was made on the name of religion which was and still is wrong. The nations can not be formed on the name of the religion. In Pakistan such hollow and deceptive slogans are heard which I personally conceive will not help keep this country intact. When a state turns ruthless against its people then stability and peace could never be seen in real meaning. Bengalis had made this country but today they are no more part of this country and are having an independent state with their own name. Bengalis were treated ill. Their political and intellectual people were ruthlessly assassinated and Muslim women were disgraced by the so called champions of Islam. The rulers and establishment of this ill fated country did not learn lesson from the past and today Baloch and Pakhtun are also treated ill. Tyranny can not be endured for a long time and ultimately the Baloch people will be triumphant and the establishment will be loser. This country was made on the resolution of 1940, which is celebrated every year with fervor and enthusiasm but do not accept what the resolution tells them. When Baloch want either freedom or complete autonomy of Balochistan then what is wrong there as this has already been mentioned in resolution of 1940. What type of the state is it that on one side it is busy killing Pakhtun for the crimes it has committed itself and is doing till today and on other Baloch have been occupied and are being killed by the state agencies which is condemnable.
Pakhtun Democratic Council condemns the killing of Habib Jalib once again and expresses its sympathy with the family of deceased, his party workers and all Baloch people and nation.

PDC condemns suicide attack in Mahmand Agency,FATA

We were shocked to hear the sad news of the gory suicide incident in Mahmand Agency, FATA in which more than 50 innocent people were martyred and more than 80 were severely wounded. FATA and its people have been suffering for the last many years and especially after 2001 when the extremism and terrorism took the area into its grip and made the people of FATA forced to either migrate to comparatively safer areas of the province or had to live on the terms and conditions of the militants and military alike.
The recent report of the Amnesty International is an eye opener in which it was clearly stated that more than 4 million innocent tribal people are hostage to the militants and military alike. People of the FATA are living as IDPs and they have no basic amenities for the life. Recently about 40 thousands people were forced to leave the area in FR Peshawar by the apparently militants. The stories of the trouble and agony of the people in FR-Peshawar were published in various newspapers and were highlighted in media but still to no avail.
PDC condemns the suicide incident in Mahmand Agency once again and demands of the government and other human rights organizations to do some thing positive and practical to save the people of FATA from such inhuman and barbaric acts.

Amnesty International and FATA

In a recent Report issued by Amnesty International regarding Human Rights situations in FATA concern was shown that nearly 4 million people in FATA live under Taliban rule where they suffer human rights abuses from both militants and the Pakistani Army.
As if Hell Fell on ME, a report based on interviews with nearly 300 people, says millions live in a, human rights free zone, where militants torture and kill women aid workers and men without beards. Pakistani soldiers have also committed serious violations, including indiscriminate artillery fire and extrajudicial executions, as the army swept across the tribal belt over the past year, the report said.
FATA is a buffer between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Pakistan termed it its geography but till this very day since its creation in 1947, she has done no good to this part of the world.
Political freedom has been closed for the people of this area. Political parties act has not been yet extended to FATA. On Aug. 14, 2009 incumbent President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari announced abolition of FCR and extension of Political Parties Act but soon retreated back for the known reasons pressurized by military establishment not to dare intervene into the affairs of FATA.
As for as we know, there are reasons for pushing FATA into hell, the foremost is that area in question is still not having any constitutional status as to whose part is it? The second is that Pakistani establishment has been in its control to use it against Afghanistan and to take into hands who rules the Kabul. People at helm of affairs in Islamabad have no interest in those living in FATA (Native People of FATA) rather they have their own interest in FATA. We see that FATA has been used for the terrorism for the last nearly 30 years. Religious extremism was promoted by the establishment. Seminaries were constructed and people were encouraged to participate. Politics was termed as a forbidden flower for the people of FATA. They were told that they were different from those living both sides of them. But actually people who at their west and east are of the same ethnicity, Pashtun. They were also told that they were more brave and courageous than others and they had a unique culture. Many a times they were presented as the soldiers having no formal salary out of the national kitty which is supposed to be filled by the alms getting on the very name of tribal people. Actually people of FATA have never been antagonistic to any country or people. They have always remained as peaceful and secular people. In Tirah valley of Khyber Agency so many people are living who are Sikh, by religion. More than 30 thousands Christians have been also residing in FATA but there has never been an incident of killing, abducting or abusing each other. They have all rights what a tribesman and woman have except some what the FCR has taken from them. This is an excellent example of tolerance and secularism. People in Tirah go to the funeral prayers of their sikh brethren and have a good relation ship and no one counts him or her as alien. They have never scorned at them for being different from what they practice. Now we have to come to the facts as to what are the reasons that turned the situations sour. Due to an area like a black hole having no know how about politics and political parties’ presence the religious extremism was promoted and encouraged by the state sponsored agencies for the reasons already mentioned above. Political Agent was imposed on them to decide about their future. Militants from across the world and Punjab were invited by establishment to FATA and a farce like situations was developed in which several actors have been performing their respective acts. Militants were handed over the guns and weapons while on other players started getting fund from international community to apparently wipe out terrorists. In this whole drama the marginalized people of FATA has no role. They and their land are just used for the stage and getting money. Pakistani establishment is a fund starved one and would be using all means and tactics to get the dollars to fill the pockets and have an occasion to loot and plunder with both hands and the recent report of Transparency International also supported our view.
The report of Amnesty International should open the eyes of international community giving fund to the cheaters and robbers on the heads of tribal and FATA. People are hostage and they have been terrorized to the extent that no one in FATA could dare to discuss this issue and go to the bottom of the awful tale of the FATA residents. Most of the tribal have left for comparatively safer places to take shelter. Those who are still there are at the mercy of terrorists and military alike. More than 50000 innocent tribesmen and women were sacrificed for the sin they had not committed. About 3500 pro peace political people, tribal Malakan and influential were ruthlessly beheaded and assassinated Fund is coming and drowned the drain. Neither terrorism was wiped out nor did miseries of people come to an end.
Now it is the responsibility of the Pakistan government to do something for the betterment of the people in FATA because it has been getting the fund on its name but no one knows where it goes.

Incident of Times Square and future of the region

Faisal Shehzad has admitted that he was a criminal and terrorist who wanted to explode the innocent American people at Time square, New York, USA. He belonged to Mohib Banda, a village situated at the west of district Nowshera adjacent to Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pukhtunkhawa. His family members and especially the former Nazim (Mayer of village) and a known political man who was associated with left politics during his student life Faiz Mohammad said that the Faisal had some changes for the last some time. The boy seemed to have developed relationship with the terrorist groups in Pakistan some where in Karachi and Nowshera. There are reports that the terrorist Shahzad had links with Taliban in Waziristan, FATA. Taliban spokesman had acknowledged that Pakistani Taliban were responsible for the terrorist attack in New York when heard about the incident and the report was published in so many Pakistani dailies but now the same Taliban sensing gravity of situations backtracked, saying that their Waziristan based group was not having any acquaintance with Faisal Shahzad and he might have got militancy training somewhere in Pakistan from another Jihadi out-fit. The Taliban though did not repent for what unfortunate incident occurred and despite they congratulated the Faisal Shahzad for his futile terrorist act, like the one we had heard from Al quada leadership after the incident of 9/11, 2001. If we go back to the 9/11, then we could easily find that all the terrorists were from Arab world and there was no one from any Pashtun area or Afghanistan there but minutes after the incident the American government asked the Taliban to hand over Osama and his cronies. Taliban,s response could not satisfy America and on Oct.7,2001, it perched its forces at the hills and plains of Afghanistan, compelled Taliban to leave the Kabul and flee to nearby mountains and adjacent areas across Durand line by the strong support of friendly Pakistan. Most of the militants were allowed to enter from Tora Bora to Tirah valley of Khyber Agency and Kurram Agency from where they were moved towards Waziristan and a new government of Islamic Emirate was established there. When Pakistan came under international pressure, she artificially made another drama in Swat to divert the attention of world from real situations in Waziristan. More than 4 million people were forced to vacate their areas and live as IDPs. Pakistani establishment got two benefits out of it. On one hand it diverted world attention from Waziristan and on other it got American dollars to crush Pashtun and disgrace their women and tribes on the name of terrorism while in actual terrorists were reared up by it itself as a strategic asset. During Swat operation some low caliber militants were crushed but the real stock was kept hidden once again to use them for next round. It is claimed that Swat was cleared from terrorists but in real terms it is wrong as we see that target killing has been launched by the terrorists and their mentors alike. People of Swat Amn Jirga(Peace Council) were assassinated after they asked military to go back from Swat and they themselves could dare to fight against terrorists. This utterance of the peaceful people enraged the military establishment and on next day the people of Amn Jirga were no more in this world. Just few days back I had a chance to participate in a peace mushaira (Poets gathering) in Buner along some leaders of Amn Tehreek, Convener Idrees Kamal and Syed Mukhtar Bacha. We witnessed a tension there due to presence of military and militants both. Both interrogate people frequently and ask about their loyalty about Army and Pakistan. The houses and shops of the people in Buner are painted with Pakistani flag showing that Pakistan Army has recaptured the area form the hold of terrorists but actually the area still has tension and few terrorists numbering not exceeding form 35 roaming in the mountain of Ilam. There were also reports from the residents of the area that military request them to help them arrest terrorist Taliban from the mountain. People agree reluctantly due to fear and Army duress, but refuse to be divided into small groups either by terrorists or otherwise. People claim that terrorists are the need of establishment as without their presence the Army will have no option left behind but to leave and at same time American dollars will be stopped funneling towards them. At a check post established by military near the house of absconder Taliban leader Rahim Khan I and Idrees Kamal were pulled out from the car at the check point near Gadezi. The soldier standing on duty intercepted us and asked for our Identity cards. Mine and Idrees Kamal ID cards were scissored down by the cop asking the driver not to seat them in car and will have to walk on foot for a long distance. People suffer from the hardships and problems by both military and militants.

There have been more than 9 years of the war against terror in our region and FATA but still there are militants every where in FATA though the Pakistan claims to have wiped out militants from FATA which has no weight and hard to be trusted any more. There are two reasons either Pakistani security forces are unable to control situations and if it is not then there arises suspicions in minds and hearts of the people about the friendship of the military and militants. As for as Pakhtun people are concerned, they are 100% sure about this friendship and there is no doubt left over for them.
I am afraid that US and Afghan forces will enter the FATA and other parts of Pakhtun areas to release the abducted Abdul Khaliq Farahi , Afghanistan- Designate Ambassador to Pakistan who is still in captivity of militants and whose video was released few days back appealing Afghanistan government to take steps for his release. The American forces are feared to enter the area in question on the pretext that their proclaimed enemies (Taliban) are sitting in FATA and have posed the threat for the Americans. If we observe the situations closely, it is evident that it is more or less the same situations of 9/11 but with a difference that the terrorists used in said incident were from Arab world while in recent terrorist act both Faisal Shahzad and Taliban are from the area from where Americans are afraid to be attacked.

Pashtun Democratic Council condemns terrorist attacks on US Consulate and Dir
Zar ali khan musazai, Chairman Pashtun Democratic Council has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate General in Peshawar. Pashtun nation hates terrorism and terrorists who are not even human beings. Such acts are cruel and barbaric. We are a peaceful nation and reject all forms and manifestations of terrorism. Pashtun are hostages and their voice has been silenced but the time will prove it that this drama was not staged by the Pashtun rather it was the agenda of the promoters and mentors of the religious terrorists using name and land of Pashtun for this dirty cause. But ultimately the terrorists and their mentors will lose and Pashtun nation and international community will be triumphant. Pashtun Democratic Council also denounces another cruel terrorist attack on the patriotic and peaceful Pashtun people in Dir where they were celebrating the Khyber Pukhtunkhawa, a new name for the Pashtun province. These both terrorist attacks show that terrorists are frustrated to the extent that they are blind and destroy all what come in their way. They are anti people, anti politics and anti life. Their barbarism will die natural death very soon. We also condemn all those forces which keep them still alive and are helping them morally and financially. We express our sympathy for all those who died in the said two incidents to protect the others at cost of their own life. Such people are great and need to be assisted. Our prayers are with them all. May God bliss the departed soul with eternal peace.

People of FATA are grateful to His! Excellency Karzai for his statement against FCR in FATA

President Hamid Karzai was right to say that Frontier Crimes Regulations commonly known as FCR is a terrible legacy of the British colonial rule being applied on Pashtun People in FATA. The sooner it is taken out the better. It is also against human dignity. As for as I understand this important question was posed a Pashtun journalist no less than the incumbent President of Peshawar Press Club in Pashto language in Islamabad when his Excellency! Hamid Khan Karzai was there on his official visit to Islamabad. Some of the Pakistani- minded Journalists who were present on that occasion criticized the remarks of Pashtun President Hamid Karzai and termed his reply as an intervention in internal affairs of Pakistan. This criticism was illogical and non sense. These so called journalists should realize that FATA is a place where Pashtun live and Karzai is also a Pashtun/Afghan and he has the right to ask for his people’s right in FATA. This unfortunate part has always been used for the nefarious designs by the establishment of Pakistan. First this part was used by the British rulers to block the forward movements of the then Tzarists and latter on was used by Pakistan with support of international community and Arab world to stop socialist block of former USSR to remain in Kabul. This time this part is again being used as proxy to thwart the good intentions of international community to prevail peace and promote democracy and developmental activities in Afghanistan. People in FATA do want change and are not ready to remain in old and out dated system which has given them nothing except humiliation and destruction. FATA is an area where there are no human rights. Political parties are not allowed to do politics and political parties act has never been extended to this part. Resultantly, extremist religious forces
Were made stronger and stronger with manpower and other resources with strong state support of Pakistan while the political, social and democratic forces were harnessed to take people to light and forward. Today we see that this part is like a hub of terrorism and terrorists use this area for their vested interests from where not only Afghanistan is fired but at same time the soldiers of international community are also frequently killed and Pashtun cities like Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera , Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, Dir ,Buner and Charsadda including FATA itself are burning in hell and people are ruthlessly killed without no sin they have ever committed. The so called Pakistani journalists have never lifted pen to write in support of FATA people and against terrorism there. No journalist has ever asked Pakistani establishment as to why this area was left behind for more than last 60 years. To be developed. When Karzai spoke in fevour of his Pashtun people and against FCR, then these so called Journalists turned furious and called it as interference in internal affairs of Pakistan. These Journalists should study the actual case of FATA as to whom this part belongs to. Whether Karzai has right to talk in favor of tribesmen or not. Afghans know it well and they speak only when they know that they are talking for their own people. Afghanistan should adopt a policy of irredentism, where ever Pashtun are should be considered as Afghan citizens. Hamid Karzai, Pashtun President termed Afghanistan and Pakistan as twin brothers which I reject politely. Both are as step brothers because one brother namely Afghanistan is going to be developed but latter creates problems for it which shows enmity and negative approach. Pakistan wants Afghanistan’s peace and prosperity but at hands of Taliban and other conservative forces which is unacceptable to Afghans. Until Pakistan changes its old policies against Afghanistan, the brotherhood theory is not possible to move forward and as for as I know Pakistani establishment has not yet decided to bring a change in its previous policy regarding Afghanistan.

Afghans living in Peshawar and other parts of Pukhtunkhawa are illegally teased and tormented by the Police. Police arrest them for allegedly not having proper documents. Almost all Afghans have the cards issued to them by UNHCR but still Police arrest them and claim that these cards have been expired. When an Afghan tells the police about the ministry of SAFRON Islamabad which has issued order that Afghan could live while utilizing the old cards for further 3-years stay. Your Excellency should talk to the high ups in interior ministry Islamabad and Police Inspector General in Pukhtunkhawa about the issue. This is very serious issue and should be taken seriously. When Police is approached, it simply says that police have not yet received any directive about the further stay of the Afghans and this is the reason that it arrests them and apply foreign act against them which is a mockery of justice with those Afghans who were used for long 30-years by Pakistan and now it has turned like a burden for this country which is not acceptable to us all Afghans living both sides of Durand line.
Hoping this issue be discussed with responsible Pakistani authority as early as possible to solve the problem of Afghans in Peshawar and elsewhere of Pukhtunkhawa.

It was reported in media that Pakistani Chief of Army Staff General Kiyani visited South Waziristan to see the progress of rehabilitation of quick impact projects.
What a joke with Pashtun by the Pakistani state (Mulla, military and militant triangle). What to say of Pakistani said triangle barbarism and joke with Pashtun. Pakistan has been trying to do childish acts and wish to befool international community. But gone are the days when Pakistan was to be trusted over such childish and foolish acts to deceive the world. Even today Waziristan has more than 11 thousands Uzbek terrorists, more than 6 thousands Arab terrorists, more than 9000 Punjabi terrorists and about three thousands so called black faced Pashtun terrorists who are playing an Agent role for the Punjabis nefarious interests in region. (Shame). This should be clear to all and sundry that all Pashtun are not terrorists and do hate of them and their terrorist activities. Now one will have to think deeply and intensively over the joke Pakistani media plays with international community in general and Pashtun nation in particular. In FATA people are not having any human right and are victims of terrorism. Terrorists are given free hand in FATA and they have made this place as a hub of terrorism from where they are firing in Afghanistan and killing innocent people there and soldiers of NATO, Afghan Army and poor patriotic civilians. How Pakistani real establishment claims to have started developmental work in presence of such terrorists who have made people in FATA as hostages. Were the Pakistani establishment sincere, then it would have cleared the area from the terrorists but sorry to say this junta could not play the role and still the terrorists are ruling FATA. Even yesterday, some friends from Waziristan wept bitterly saying that Pakistan destroyed them and they were ready to welcome any one in FATA except Pakistan. International community should focus its attention on FATA and hoping Pakistan will not be left alone to decide the fate of Pashtun in FATA and tell the lie to international community any more.

Former Pakistani Punjabi Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that he and his party have always opposed US drone attacks on terrorists in Pakistan. This statement further disclosed that Punjabis are averse to drone attacks and love to see terrorists (Arab and Punjabis) on Pashtun soil and to destroy peace in region and Afghanistan in particular. Punjabis political leadership along with military and mullah and Punjabi dominated Media of Pakistan are pro-terrorists and they do not take this important issue serious rather they all like to see Pashtun and Afghanistan in an eternal misery in which we are due to the satanic dreams and acts of the said negative forces. Nawaz Sharif says that in drone attacks the innocent souls are killed. This is 100% incorrect information he has collected from his sources and he is advised to get fresh and correct information regarding terrorism in our Pashtun areas including FATA. Those who give him information about drones should be punished because such incorrect and groundless information will lead him to be a laughing stock in international community which knows better than Nawaz Sharif and his Advisors regarding drones. Nawaz Sharif should try to get himself up to dated about such important information like drones. For the kind information of a Lahore-based Punjabi Politician it is said that drones have neither killed any innocent person nor will do so in future regarding FATA. Drone is actually the enemy of terrorists and those who love to see terrorists in FATA. We have said time and again that international community should not discuss our issues with Punjabi politicians and Media as they do not like to see us in peace. Pashtun in general and those living in Waziristan or have migrated from there due to terrorist activities say that only drones are the real treatment of the terrorists. Punjabi dominated Pakistani military is either unable or is reluctant to eliminate terrorists from FATA and to clear the area. For the last 9 years the Pakistan Army is engaged in FATA against terrorists but till this day they are unable to show that they have killed a high profile terrorist there. Absolutely they can not show. And drones can show that they have killed dozens of the terrorists in FATA including Baitullah Mehsud whom Pakistani media in last days of his life termed as pro- American terrorist but the claims of Pakistani media smashed at time when drone attacked him and killed. According to our latest and fresh information obtained form friends and political people that when ever drones are seen hovering in Waziristan our people are satisfied that only terrorists and their friends will be hit hard. But when we see that Pakistani Jet-fighter in air then we are afraid about the casualties of our poor, innocent and hostaged people. Few days back it was claimed by the terrorists in FATA that they had gunned down the drone. Pakistani newspapers reported in morning the other days that tribal people have gunned it down and they were jubilating over the drone incident (If ever has happened so). This is 100% absurd that tribal have done this job. How can the a tribesman do it when he has been standing in long queues to get few kilos of flour to feed his/her children who have been forced to migrate from their native villages and homes in FATA. Tribal are not opposed to drones and they know better than Nawaz Sharif that drone is anti-terrorist weapon not anti- Pashtun.

The incident of 9/11, 2001 changed the world in general and Pashtun region in particular. Americans and allies launched their war against al- Qaeda and Taliban terrorists who were harboring terrorism and terrorists to Afghanistan and all over the world including the attacks on the US.
All those innocent people including the allied and Afghan soldiers who became victims of the terrorism are the real martyrs. They laid down their lives for upright, justice and peace in the world. May God bliss them all. It is a well known fact that Afghanistan was a centre of terrorism but with the advent of Americans and allied forces the terrorism and terrorists left Afghanistan and made Pakistan as a safe haven for them, particularly, the tribal areas adjacent to Afghanistan. Americans should have to strike the terrorists, this side of the Durand line at that time but sorry to say that Americans and allies did not do it and went behind Iraqi president/ dictator sadam Hussin. This act harmed Afghanistan, allied forces and Pashtun living both sides of Durand line. The terrorists strengthened themselves in FATA and adjacent areas of the Pashtun with alleged active support of Pakistan army, intelligence agency ISI and clergy. All clergymen are the paid employees of the ISI and are bent upon all time to harm Afghanistan and actively support terrorism in the region with the support of ISI and Arab sheikhs .America gave more than 13 billion dollars to Pakistan and demanded her to eradicate terrorism with it but this menace further spread with each passing day and some new reports indicate it that all the money meant for the elimination of the menace went directly to the accounts of Taliban and other forces engaged in fighting against America, allied forces and Afghanistan. Americans were informed time and again that the said so called anti-terror forces in FATA and other Pashtun areas were not sincere with them in the solution of the problem concerning terrorism ,and asserted that mulla-millitary are one and same but such calls turned deaf ears and were not weighed properly . When in Waziristan more than 400 military men had gone missing and media reported that they were captured by Taliban. Even at that time there were suspicions over it but the responsible international community did not heed it and laughed at those who were terming it as a drama and a naked farce. There were many people who were of the opinion that the detained military men were useful for the militants. They could give those refresher courses and other tactics as how to fight in Afghanistan against Americans and allied forces. We used to hear that Americans are very wise people but we do not know as to what are the factors that have been hurdles in their way to cross over to the areas dominated by the Pashtun, across the Durand line. When Taliban’s emirate in Kabul collapsed their mentors advised them to remain silent for some time and when Americans would leave soon then they would come out again and would reclaim Afghanistan. There were two aims behind it. One was to crush those political people and influential Pashtun who were sincere to eliminate the terrorism and were ruthlessly assassinated and this number raised to 3000.So- called anti terror forces in Pakistan wished to hammer the sentiments of Afghan nationalism on both sides of Durand line and tried the best to divert the attention of the people from the core issue of national unity and named it religiosity and anti-Americanism. The fact is that our people are having least concern about the American and allied forces and thought that forces in questions had come to Afghanistan under the command of UN. On other hands dollars were funneled for the anti-terror war which was deposited in the personal bank accounts of the mentors and Taliban alike while the innocent people were mercilessly killed, forced to migrate from their houses and schools and bridges were demolished. This conception was supported by the reporter of the New York Times also. Now the US has pledged 750 million dollars for the development of the FATA. We are afraid that the said hefty amount will go down the drain and FATA will neither develop nor will the people of FATA ever see its benefits in the presence of greedy and anti -American establishment of Pakistan. There are forces which are not sincere in elimination of the terrorism from the region. It is true that the Security forces are using jet-fighters and other heavy weapon in FATA, but not against terrorist Taliban and al-Qaeda, but it is used against the civilians to instigate their sentiments against US, allied forces and Afghanistan to sabotage the national unity. There are problems of unemployment, price hike, food shortage and unrest in our region. Pakistani rulers are unable to solve them that are why they wish to divert the attention of people from the real issues and concentrate their attention towards the US. Pashtun are of the firm belief that ISI has been using the Pashtun and their territory to promote terrorism with support of bloody religious mullahs. Pakistan mulla and military are same and from recent reports published in media that Taliban were termed as the, National asset of Pakistan, which is an alarming situations for us all. Pashtun reserve the right to ask as to who will be responsible for their destruction and Pashtun also demand of Americans and international community to bring culprits to the court of justice who perpetrated cruelties on Pashtun in the garb of terrorists. With the indiscriminate bombardment of Pakistani Security forces in FATA and Swat only civilian are killed while the drone attacks by the Americans hit the real targets and the difference is clear. Now once again Pashtun demand of the Americans and international community to isolate terrorists not Pashtun.

PDC welcomes Obama Afghanistan strategy
PDC welcomes Obama, s new strategy for Afghanistan and termed it a positive step towards stability and peace in region. The strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan was more important than Iraq where the resources and forces were used ignoring the importance of Afghanistan and region which diverted attention from the real place of terrorism which was rightly called as center of terrorism by the American President Obama. It was very encouraging to hear the US President saying that Afghanistan was not lost and there is no imminent threat of the government being overthrown. The world should understand that terrorists have no capability to re emerge in Afghanistan but the sources of terrorism which are known should be eliminated. There are more than 92 centers in Pakistan which are active spreading terrorism in region. These centers of terrorism have made Afghanistan as a hell and do not love to see a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan which can guarantee the development and stability in region if left to get developed and peace establishes there. All centers of terrorism are in Punjab province of Pakistan from where the terrorists are sent to FATA and Afghanistan and sabotage the peace and development efforts of international community. Now the American President has hit the right place from where the terrorism originates by calling it as Epicenter of violent extremism. PDC lauded the announcement of Mr. President regarding strengthening the capacity of Afghanistan’s security forces and government. Those who are not tired saying that Afghanistan has been captured by American forces should have heard the speech of President Obama where he declared that Afghan government and people would be the ultimate responsible for their own country and Americans are partners and not patron. Americans seek an end to the era of war and sufferings and have no interest in occupying one’s country. Terrorism which he termed as cancer on both sides of Durand line should effectively be harnessed. This is also encouraging to note in the speech that America and world could no more tolerate safe havens of terrorists whose location is known and whose intentions are clear. PDC appreciated the sentence in which American President Obama said that every man, woman and child around the world who lives under the dark cloud of tyranny that America will speak out on behalf of their human rights and tend to light of freedom and justice and opportunity and respect for dignity and all people. PDC wishes to see all the claims in practical and deeds should speak louder than words.

Chairman Pashtun Democratic Council Zar Ali Khan Musazai has strongly denounced the illegal arrest, teasing and tormenting of the Afghans in Peshawar city and other parts of Pashtunkhwa. He said that Police and other law enforcement Agencies have made life for Afghans as a hell and their illegal arrest by police and imprisonment in various lock ups and goals of the Peshawar city and province is a shame for the government of Awami National Party which champions the cause of Pashtun/Afghans. Afghans are having the biometric Cards issued to them by the UNHCR. Those Afghans who have no such cards should not be arrested and tormented in the way the police and law enforcement agencies have been treating them. This is an insult to Pashtun/Afghans and this is intolerable. Afghans are neither terrorists nor having links with terrorists. The present wave of terrorism is due to wrong policies of the establishment of Pakistan, its military and ISI intervention in each and every thing especially in affairs of the neighboring countries and people. The terrorists have been and are still being nurtured and produced by the establishment and its Intelligence network and sleuths which is a shameful act. International community understands it well and those who have closed eyes are living in fool’s paradise. This negative attitude of the police and other agencies towards Afghans in Peshawar is very intolerable for us all. We realize that the solution of the present day problem is to get all Pashtun/Afghans united, abolish the black line of artificial division Durand line. Afghanistan is the historical home of all Afghans. Until the break away parts of Afghanistan are taken back and Pashtun are not united with their home Afghanistan the situations will remain as it is and Pakistani notorious establishment will be using the soil of Pashtun for its nefarious designs and Pashtun will be bleeding. Pakistan has completely failed to eliminate terrorism from the region. Now this country should show courage and advise international community to perch on the places of terrorism and help them clean it otherwise Pakistan has no capability to solve the problem and this will be complicated with each passing day and children of the Pashtun will be dying. Pashtun Democratic Council demands of the international community. US, Afghan government and UN to intervene into the matter and save the Afghans from the atrocities and barbarism of the police and other law enforcement agencies on the name of the elimination of terrorism. This is an insult to all Afghans if tormented in Peshawar. Afghans were pious people and Islamic brothers for the Pakistan when she was using them for its own purpose and now the Afghans are asked to go back. Elimination of terrorism needs commitment and sincerity on the part of Pakistan. This can not be wiped out by teasing, tormenting and arrest of the Afghans in Peshawar irrespective of their ages. We believe that Punjab is the center of terrorism and until Islamabad and Rawalpindi show sincerity this menace will continue. This problem has not been initiated by Afghans. Pakistan has created it and only this country has its treatment on the condition of sincerity and commitment. Afghan Government is also strongly requested to raise this important issue with the Pakistani government and ANP to avoid arrest and insult to Afghans in Peshawar.

We strongly condemn the inhuman incident of car bomb in Peshawar city in which more than 100 innocent civilian mostly women and children martyred and more than 200 seriously wounded. Pashtun Democratic Council consider it as a genocide of the Pashtun nation by the barbarian negative and anti-Pashtun forces which are bent upon to annihilate this nation but one has to understand that neither Changez khan nor Sikandar have ever succeeded to annihilate this nation. Those terrorists who are playing as agents of the conspirators who are sitting miles away from the pashtun area should try to understand that playing havoc with own nation is treachery. Today Pashtun ask the question as to who are doing this barbarism with them. The answer is simple that only and only Pakistani establishment, military, ISI and their partner militants (Terrorists) are responsible for this enmity against Pashtun. Pakistani religious clerics and religious parties are trying to hoodwink the people and international community about the real situations. In Pakistan mulla-military have formed an alliance to wipe out the pashtun. Mulla has been working for the nefarious designs of the ISI and establishment. ISI and Pakistan never ever want to see a prosperous, developed and peaceful democratic Afghanistan and for this purpose these two forces with the connivance of some hidden forces have joined hands to sabotage the development in the region. Today we hear religious parties in Pakistan asking Americans to go back to America from Afghanistan and at same time they denounce Lugar bill. American forces are sitting in more than 100 countries of the world but no where there happens any violence or opposition to American forces but here in Pakistan clergy is mobilizing people against the Americans and international community. It means that Pakistan through its clergy sees the dream to the capture Afghanistan after the departure of the Americans. All the nationalist and democratic Secular political and tribal Pashtun are being or have been assassinated by the notorious hands of the terrorists. The sole aim of self made insurgency in Pashtun region is the handi work of the intelligence agencies and it is quite foolish to believe that Americans and Indians are doing it. No one except the Pakistani intelligence agencies are responsible. This is just to befool the people and international community and divert the attention from the real players in region. Today we see that a particular religious party Jumati Islami, known as B-team of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI has been protesting Kerry Lugar bill. They both know that the bill in question is meant to develop the social sector in Pashtun areas including FATA and malakand, Swat etc. When this religious party was in government in Musharraf era then there was no hue and cry over such donations. But when Americans made their mind to spend the money on development and for the betterment of the People of Pashtun region then religious parties started hue and cry saying that now the dooms day will fall on them. This is once again a conspiracy against the pashtun and they do not love to see Pashtun be educated and prosperous. They are doing this nefarious job to keep the pashtun backward and ignorant; their sole aim is to use them against foreign forces in Afghanistan. Now international community including Americans should realize the gravity of situations and leave Pashtun be their friends. Americans do know where are the centers of terrorism? They are situated in Punjab. Then what are the hurdles which stop Americans and international community to hit the real centers of terrorism. Only fighting against Pashtun will not prove to be real solution. Unless and until the sources are targeted the problem will not be solved and this process will continue. Pashtin will be dying, American and NATO forces will be martyred in Afghanistan and the real conspirators will get dollars and lead a comfortable life. Oh, Americans and international community for God sake leave Pashtun to lead a peaceful life and go to the real places from where the terrorism originates, I mean Punjab and Islambad. Fault does not lie in Pashtun region rather it is in Islamabad. We once again condemn the attacks on innocent Pashtun and demand of international community to come behind terrorists and annihilate their nests in Punjab and befriend Pashtun which is the only and real solution if interested. We condole the death of all those Pashtun women, children and young who embraced martyrdom in suicide attacks in Peshawar and other parts of the Pashtunkhwa. The clothes of Pashtun women and children were hanging through the walls of high buildings and most of our women were made nude and naked but still Pashtun and international community both are slumbering in ignorance. We Pashtun know our enemy well and enemy is still busy making conspiracies against us.

Durand Line and Afghans/Pakhtoon National Unity
A well- Known and reputed Afghan writer Abdul Ghafar farahi in his book: The Era of Democracy and Republic in Afghanistan; writes about Durand Line; When the people of Afghanistan came to know about the agreement of Durand Line between Ameer Abdul-Rehman Khan and the British, they turned down the said pact and strongly opposed it and those Pakhtoons/Afghans living this side of Durand Line started a war against the occupied forces until they left the sub-Continent in 1947 and he further says; they people of Afghanistan have a strong disliking for that so-called agreement of the Durand Line. When Wazirs and Masood and other Pakhtoon tribes sensed that their national identity was at stake by imperialist forces and were divided, they were greatly perturbed and immediately sent a representative to Pakhtia where he visited Sardar Gul Ahmad Khan the Governor of Pakhtia to let them know about the signing of the agreement between Abdul-Rehman Khan and the British.
The representative told the Governor that his people were not ready to recognize their division, and would keep continued their war against it and would never surrender. Sardar Gul Ahmad Khan expressed his ignorance about such an agreement and assured the representative that no such pact was ever signed. But when Pakhtoon/Afghan tribes sensed it they took up arms and initiated the armed struggle to foil the conspiracies, which led to their division.
The Durand Line had not only divided one nation but its worst impacts had suffered houses and same tribes, as it had segregated one body into many parts. When Ameer realized that his decision was not accepted to his people and were opposed to it tooth and nail, he then started helping them with weapons and pelf. Ameer called famous Pakhtoon freedom fighter mullah Pawinda Waziri and mulla Najmuddin and many more tribal chiefs to Kabul and he showed his reverence and respect to them all. Ameer Abdul Rehman Khan was a wise man.
He knew well that he was unable to defend his all areas and the entire Afghanistan could be suffered if he was reluctant to sit with the British and hand over them some areas of his country Afghanistan for administrative purpose. The region where Pakhtoons are living today which was and is still called with an infamous nameless name (NWFP) was occupied by the British in the year of 1849. When the English forces were badly routed in Kabul by Afghans under the courageous and bold leadership of wazir Muhammad Akbar Khan.
The English forces and rulers alike were disgusted and dejected as Afghan forces had left their one man Doctor Brydon alive with a purpose to go back to Jalalabad and apprise his army about their shameful and ignoble defeat at the hands of Afghans in Kabul. Sensing gravity of the situations and defeat after defeat, the British rulers of India opted to come to negotiating table with Afghans, weaken their combined force and save themselves from the further ignobility and disgrace. Henry Mortimer Durand the then foreign secretary of British India went to Kabul where he visited Ameer Abdul Rehman Khan and got him signed the pact.
The real aim of the pact was to hamper the onward advent of Russians to the warm waters of sub-continent and divide Pakhtoon nation to decrease its might so that they could not stand as a threat to their interests and challenge their authority in this important region. The Durand agreement or the Kabul convention of 1893 is briefly given as follows: whereas certain questions have arisen regarding the frontier of Afghanistan on the side of India and whereas both His Highness the Ameer and the Government of India are desirous of setting these questions by friendly understanding, and of fixing the limit of their respective sphere of influence, so that for the future there may no difference of opinion on the subject between the allied Governments, it is hereby agreed as follows:
1The eastern and southern frontier of His Highness domains from Wakhan to the Persian border shall follow the line shown on the map attached to this agreement.
2The Government of India will at no time exercise interference in the territories lying beyond this line on the side of Afghanistan, and His Highness the Ameer will at no time exercise interference in the territories laying beyond this line on the side of India.
3The British Government of India thus agrees to His Highness the Ameer retaining Asmar and the valley above it, as for as Chanak. His Highness agrees, on the other hand, that he will at no time exercise interference in Swat, Bajour, or Chitral, including the areaway or Bashgal valley. The British Government also agree to leave to His Highness the Barmal tracts as shown in detailed map already given to His Highness, who relinquishes his claim to the rest of Wazir, s country and Dawar. His Highness also relinquishes his claim to Chageh.
4The frontier line will hereafter be laid down in detail and demarcated, whenever this may be practicable and desirable, by joint British-Afghan commissioners, whose object will be to arrive by mutual understanding at a boundary which shall adhere with the greatest possible exactness to the line shown in the map attached to this agreement, having due respect to the existing local rights of the villages adjoining the frontier.
5With reference to the question of Chaman, the Ameer withdraws his objection to the new British cantonment and concedes to the British Government the rights purchased by him in Sirkai Tilerai water. At this part of the frontier the line will be drawn as follows:
From the crest of Khwaja Amran range the sha kotal, which remains in the British territory, the line will run in such a direction as to leave murgha Chaman and the Shorab spring to Afghanistan, and to pass half- way between the new Chaman fort and the Afghan outposts known locally as Lashkar Dand. The line will then pass half-way between the railway station and the hill known as the Main Buldak, and, turning southwards, will rejoin the Khwaja Amran range leaving the Gwasha post in the British territory and the road to Shorawak to the west and the south of Gwasha in Afghanistan. The British Government will not exercise any interference within half a mile of the road.
6The above articles of agreement are regarded by the Government of India and His Highness the Ameer of Afghanistan as a full and satisfactory settlement of all principles of which have arisen between them in regard to the frontier, and the Government of India and His Highness the Ameer undertake that any difference of detail, such as those which will have to be considered hereafter by the officers appointed to demarcate the boundary line, shall be settled in a friendly spirit, so as to remove for the future as for as possible all causes of doubt and misunderstanding between the two governments.
7Being fully satisfied of His Highness, goodwill to the British Government and wishing to see Afghanistan strong, the Government of India will raise no objection to the purchase and import by His Highness of munitions of war, and they will themselves grant him some help in this respect. Further, in order to make their sense of the friendly spirit in which His Highness the Ameer has entered in to these negotiations, the government of India undertake to increase by the sum of 6 lakhs of rupees a year the subsidy of 12 lakhs now granted to His Highness.

If one studies the agreement seriously he will at once realize that the agreement was signed between the British Government and His Highness Ameer Abdul Rehman Khan. The name of Pakistan has never been mentioned anywhere in the entire text of the agreement. There were still more than 50 years in the birth of Pakistan at the time of agreement. The British left the sub-continent in 1947.
All the agreements and pacts between Afghanistan and the British Government of India automatically remained revoked, because one party of the agreement is no more in India and the agreement was also not signed willingly. The Ameer was weaker and the British Government was strong enough to have exerted the pressure and brought the weaker under duress to sign the agreement. If the agreement taken to a third party it has no such complicated thing, which will turn against Pakhtoon and Afghanistan.
Just after the departure of the English from the sub-continent the parliament of Afghanistan announced revoking their all agreements with the British Government of India .So there seems no validity of the Durand line, which has segregated Pakhtoons/Afghans for the last several decades. Pakistani establishment has been struggling to befool the world, calling for mines and to fencing the line on the clever pretext of stopping the infiltration of the terrorists and insurgents to Afghanistan .
The demarcation of the line is nowhere is clear and the world should realize that the pact has never been signed with Pakistan. Gone are the days when the British forces had a threat to that side of the Durand line but today they have faced a threat from this side of the Durand line. If the British forces and Americans stationed in Kabul take a decision to take their line somewhere away from the Durand line then what will be her reaction to the decision? Pakistan establishment is bent upon to perpetuate the artificial division of the Pakhtoon on the pretext of terrorists and containment of the Taliban. If one looks he can very easily find out that the real fault does not lie on the Durand line it lies in Islamabad.
The Pakistani establishments and the Governments have never been sincere with Afghanistan, and the foreign office of Pakistan is not ready to stop its policy of interference in Afghanistan. The world should open its eyes and to see as to who are standing behind the Taliban and terrorists who are frequently crossing over to Afghanistan and destroy the peace there? And why they are being supported? What are the nefarious designs behind the entire drama? But no Government in Afghanistan could dare to bargain on heads of the Pakhtoons living this side of the Durand line and accept it as a permanent border between two countries as it is an important question concerning more than 7 crore Pakhtoons living both sides of Durand line and in the different parts of the world. Until this artificial division of one nation is finished the world in general and Asia in particular will not be able to see a prosperous dawn.
But the Pakhtoons will have to struggle in a peaceful way and aprise the world of their bad days and troubles, which the others have created for them. Now we have to wait and see what the allied forces and their countries have in their pockets for Pakhtoons, whom they had divided earlier, and the policy of hot-pursuit to hit the enemy anywhere to eliminate the menace of Taliban, terrorism, fundamentalism, and anti-Pakhtoon forces who are killing Pakhtoons and destroy the future of their posterity, which have had an institutional support somewhere away from the Durand line.

Amir Hamza Khan Shinwari was born in the village of Landi Kotal , Khyber in 1907. But he spent the more part of his life in Peshawar.It is said that in winter he lived in a small home situated inside of Aasia gate while in summer he lived in his own native village situated in the west of Peshawar in mountains near Durand line,Landikotal. The weather is commonly pleasant there and one can spend his time without having electricity fan. Hamza Baba was not a lonely person and he was always surrounded by his will-wishers, friends and disciples where ever he was. He was having a sound health and mind while he was hearing little loud and his eye sight was also very good and as for as his memory concerned was wonderful. Hamza baba remembered his all poetry and besides he had memorized the poetry of other poets belonging to other languages. He used to recite his poems in Urdu language but on the advice of his Pir Abdul Sattar shah Bacha he started his poems in his own mother language Pashto. He was an encyclopedia of Pashto literature. His services for Pashto language and literature are innumerable. He is known as Baba-e- Pashto Ghazal. As he says:
Sta pa Anango ki a Hamza da weeno sra de
Ta shway da Pukhto Ghazal zwan ao za de Baba kram
Translation:
(The color in your cheeks is the color of the blood of Hamza)
(0, Pashto Ghazal, you are grown up but Hamza became old)
Hamza baba was a student in Islamis Collegiate School but due to his family reasons he could not continue his higher education and left education in mid way while his love for Urdu poetry also diminished and gave his full fledged attention to his own language Pashto. After leaving his School he was soon married and employed in the office of Political Agent in Landi Kotal. Soon he left his job there and went to Bombay to try his luck there. Bombay was then a sort of Hollywood of sub- continent. Although this tour of Bombay proved to be a misadventure but Baba did not lose heart and the year of 1920 he succeeded in getting the role in a film. In 1941 he was called upon by Rafique Ghaznavi to write script, songs and dialogue for the Pashto film Laila Majnoon. Hamza baba was deeply trenched in mysticism and about his this experience he says: I stepped into the land of wonders in 1930. I was not consciously inclined that way before and it would be more true to say that I have not come here of my own but was simply dragged to it. Hamza baba took formal allegiance, in Chistia order , at the hands of his Pir Sayyed Abdul Sattar Shah commonly known as Sattar shah Bacha in Dabgari Peshawar.In 1937 a Pashto literary society called Bazm-e- Adab was founded by baba. Syed Rahat Zakheli was elected as its President while Hamza baba was elected as a vice-presidentand. Bacha Gul Niazi as its general secretary. Later on Hamza baba was made its president and he started looking after of this society. In the year 1950, this society was merged into a larger society called Olasi Adabi Jirga. The moving spirit behind this August Jirga was Sanobar Hussain Kakaji with Hamza Shinwari and Dost Mohammad Kamil as its vice-president and general secretary. Its membership consisted of Qalandar Momand, Ajmal Khattak, Mir Mehdi Shah, Wali Mohammad Toofan, Fazle Haq Shaida, Saifur Rehman Salim, Afzal Bangash, Latif Wahmi, Hussain Khan Soz, Ayub Sabir, Farigh Bokhari, Raza Hamdani, Qamar Rahi and a number of others. Apart from promoting poetry this Jirga also paid equal attention to the promotion of Pashto prose. For poetry as well as prose, it started holding regular sessions at the Balakhana of Kamil sab in Peshawar's famous Khyber Bazar.
Hamza baba had a great love for his own language Pashto and says:
The enemys say that Pashto is a language of hell
I will go to heaven with this language.
About his own land in India he writes:
I feel the taste of Pakhtoonkhwa in India,
when I come across an Afghan there
this shows his love for his mother land Pashtunkhwa.
In 1962 Hamza Baba published his first major work on Philosophy called Zhwand and in 1970 he published the accounts of his pilgrimage to Makka with his well known verse.

The money provided to Pakistan under the Kerry-Lugar Bill will not go directly to the Government of Pakistan. This was reported in a Pakistani newspaper few days ago.
Jacop- j- Lew, US Deputy Secretary for Management and Resources who recently visited Pakistan and NWFP (Pashtunkhwa) Province is said to have uttered these words.
Jacob should also know that money given to Islamabad as aid by the US for development of FATA is eaten up by bureaucracy sitting in Islamabad and FATA Secretariat with both hands as this fund is meant as a bounty for them. This fund is ruthlessly embezzled and will yield no positive result in elimination of terrorism and extremism from FATA and its development and prosperity. There are big crocodiles in FATA who are eating the flesh and sucking the blood of Pashtun tribesmen and tribeswomen. Americans will be thinking that they spent million and million of dollars for development of FATA but on ground the lot of tribal has not yet changed and they see no result on ground. Most chunk of the American fund goes to the account of the organizations working against Americans and their plan to develop FATA and make lives of tribesmen pleasant. There are reports that those organizations and individuals working to strengthening militancy in FATA are the blue eyed- Children of FATA Secretariat while those organizations and individuals who are really secular and anti-militants in FATA are intentionally discouraged and are given nothing. Such organizations and their representatives are the enemies of FATA Secretariat. We do not know whose Agenda is being promoted there by this secretariat? We have clear and clean Agenda to promote peace and develop in FATA and eliminate militancy from there. Our organizations are discouraged why? We pose the question as to why FATA Secretariat is funneled so much huge fund which unfortunately is not spent there in a proper way. FATA Secretariat spends all American funds on the employees of FATA and their security apparently due to fear of the militants while all militants belong to them and will never harm them. They just embezzle the money of American people. There is a leading network of the FATA NGOs namely Tribal Development Forum(TDF) working to promote peace in FATA and develop the area has been neglected and there are reports from inside of FATA Secretariat to discourage it and exert pressure to dismantle it. FATA has been neglected since long and as for as Pakistani state is concerned has done nothing good for FATA and its inhabitants. This establishment has no good intentions there. This was kept in dark intentionally and even today this Pakistani cannibal establishment has been using it and its people. Now a day it is an established fact that Civil Society Organizations in our region face many many problems and the lives of people working in such organizations are under threat and Damocles sword has been hanging over their heads all the times. I am talking of those organizations working in settled districts of NWFP (Pashtunkhwa) province. If we talk about those organizations which are FATA based and native then the situations are quite different and their condition is really alarming and such organizations and their staff have innumerable problems before them. We all know that Civil Society Organizations are the best tools to mobilize the society and work hard to promote pluralism, democracy and educate people to let them know as to who are they and what are their rights?. But as for as FATA and those FATA based organizations concerned are, to be praised as working there is a Herculean task and one has to burn mid-night oil for it. Almost all FATA based native organizations are so poor and resource starved that even they have hardly to pay salaries of their staff. But still these organizations are determined to work in FATA to promote peace and see development there. If some one including US wants to promote peace in FATA and witness a change in lives of the people in FATA then they will have to take the Civil Society Organizations of FATA into confidence and rid them of from crocodiles sitting in Islamabad and FATA Secretariat who have no interest to see a peaceful and developed FATA. If genuine demands of our organizations are not accepted then TDF will take this issue to streets and will demonstrate for the rights of FATA People and right.
We will welcome closure of FATA Secretariat fund by US and strongly demand of US not to release it until Crocodiles are purged out from FATA Secretariat.

We strongly condemn the ruthless murder of four students of school in Orakzai Agency by the cruel hands of the militants the other day. Ironically this unfortunate incident occurred at a time when the international community was celebrating the international literacy day. Pashtun children/Students are killed while the world and Pakistan are observing the literacy day. What an unfortunate incident was it? Pakistan has turned as a laughing stock in international community. Pashtun are being burnt. World is sleeping. Pakistani-Punjabis sleuths and intelligence Agencies have been playing a dirty game against Pashtun nation. When students are killed on international literacy day then what to say of the enmity against this nation and people. What a state is it where students are murdered and militants are free to move about? Pakistan claims it has more than 1 million armed forces but this is unable to combat against militants. What a drama?

Chairman Pashtun Democratic Council Zar ali khan musazai has strongly condemned the tragic and targetd killing of Haji Janullah Khan Hashimzada. He said that the martyrdom of Haji Janullah khan proved that Journalists are given the punishment for their true writings about the ongoing mulla –military drama staged in Pashtun region without the consent of the Pashtun nation. Haji Janullah khan was an honest man and a professional journalist and his martyrdom proved it that he did not compromise on his principles to write true things and give real situations to the people here and international community alike. He was so professional and honest with his work that he could have the ability to know each and every political worker and regarded all irrespective of one’s political approach and ideology. He used to be busy in his work and always tried his best to get fresh and quality news to his viewers and listeners. His ruthless and cool blooded murder shocked us all. It is a well known fact that Pashtun region has been given as a gift to terrorists by the so called state actors and its nefarious intelligence agencies who with collaboration of some notorious clergy are continuously killing the patriotic Pashtun writers, political workers and other influential Mashran and educated people like they did in Bangladesh but sorry to say that Bengalis had a real and seasoned political leadership while we have been experiencing the vacuum which is taking us to our fatality and black future. This is quiet unacceptable to us all that a journalist of the caliber of Janullah khan was martyred on broad day light on a GT road. Where is the Army? Where is the state? Where is the writ of Political Agent who is a crownless king minting money all the times, eating himself and feeding those sitting in Islamabad and province. This state has become like laughing stock in international community. What a state, when one writes or tells the truth he or she is targetedly assassinated and very innocently says that terrorists have done this heinous crime and the fact is that this state and its all agencies are well aware of all situations and these terrorists are nothing without the strong support of the state actors. State means parents which will give security to its citizens. When a state becomes enemy of its people then what is the need of such state. He also emphasized upon all writers and journalists not to be frightened from such incidents and pen what is right and true. In the long run truth will triumph and lie will have to flee. He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul of Hashimzada and give patience to his family, friends and well wishers to bear this loss with fortitude and steadfastness. AMEEN

Oh, Mr. Drone you are helpful to Pashtun/Afghan and you are the only one to having capability to hit the real and actual target. Pashtun are your friends and do not feel that they will forget you. They will remember you as long as the world is there. You proved your efficiency at last and killed the one which was the blue eyed boy of the intelligence Agencies of Pakistan. You proved that you have the capability to strike those terrorists who make terrorism in Pashtun region. If you were not there the monster terrorists would have eaten us up. Thanks to more and more American pressure on Pakistani military and Government to have started the war against terrorists other wise even the angels of Pakistan should not be trusted. Pashtun love to see you Mr. Drone hovering over the atmosphere of the Pashtun areas and wish to see you hit the real and actual target. Those who condemn you are the real friends of terrorists and they want to perpetuate the miseries and sufferings of the Pashtun. Rest assure that all Pashtun are hostages by the terrorists and those who have created, nurtured, funded, recruited and trained terrorists against the peace, democracy and development of Afghanistan. on Dec 3, 2007, a Predator strike injured Shaykh Issa al-Masri in Jani Khel, Bannu.

On Jan 28, 2008, a Predator killed HVT Abu Layth Al-Libi and associates in Salam Kot, North Waziristan.

On Feb 27, 2008, a drone killed foreign Al Qaeda trainees. On March 16, 2008, more Al Qaeda trainees were killed. The document does not identify those killed in these attacks and does not reveal the places hit by the drones.

On May 14, 2008, a Predator killed HVT Abu Sulayman Al-Jazairi and associates in Damadola, Bajaur.

On July 28, 2008, a Predator strike killed HVT Abu Khabab Al-Masri and other Al Qaeda activists.

On Aug 12, 2008, a Predator killed foreign fighters and militants associated with HVT Usama Al-Kini and commander Nazir.

On Aug 20, 2008, a drone killed and injured multiple foreign Al Qaeda members and local associates, including some Haqqani network associates. An Al Qaeda facilitator Haji Yacoub was injured.

On Aug 27, 2008, a Predator attempted to target an Al Qaeda-associated meeting but missed target. It did not cause collateral damage.

On Aug 30, 2008, a Predator strike killed Al Qaeda paramilitary operatives subordinate to Al Qaeda commander and East Africa Embassy bomber Usama Al Kini.On Aug 31, 2008, a Predator killed several Al Qaeda operatives, including two prominent Al Qaeda paramilitary commanders.

On Sept 2, 2008, a Predator killed four to 10 persons associated with Al Qaeda commander and logistician Abu Wafa Al Saudi.

On Sept 4, 2008, a Predator strike killed Abu Wafa Al Saudi.

On Sept 8, 2008, a Predator killed several Haqqani sub-commanders and a number of Arabs. Members of the extended Haqqani family were killed.

On Sept 11, 2008, a Predator killed 10 to 15 militants associated with Al Qaeda facilitator Qari Imran’s training camp.

On Sept 17, 2008, a Predator killed 4-6 militants delivering rockets to a militant camp near the Afghan border(Durand Line)r and probably HVT Abu Ubaydh Al Tunisi.
And at last the king of terror in Waziristan was hit.
There are some Pakistani pseudo- political analysts for voice of America like Rustam shah Mohmand and Brigidaier Retd. Mehmood Shah who say that this is the success of Pakistan Army to have hit Baitullah Mehsood. What a joke on their part? How can Pakistan kill a person who was a poor and weak IMAMA of a local mosque and was given so much importance. This is the real success of Drone and no one should put the turban of success on one’s head except Mr.Drone.

Kaka ji Sanober Hussain was a great hero of the war of independence of sub-continent , a fearless and committed politician, a bold journalist and a good poet .He spent his most precious time fighting against imperialists who ruled India by the time .He was one of those freedom fighters who struggled to liberate India , mould the society , give political education to the masses and help the down trodden and the poor and was having a conscious heart and mind .He had a precious wealth of feelings for humanity and was not satisfied with the man made ups and downs in society. He was a man who did not believe in gods of color and race. It is true that he was basically a politician par excellent but at the same time he was a poet of the Pashto language who had a liking for other languages as well like Persian, Urdu and English. He believed that all languages spoken in different parts of the world belonged to human beings and all are to be given due respect and regard. His each and every moment of life spent for the service of his nation and entire humanity. He worked hard to promote Pashto literature and culture. Kaka ji was a great statesman and an intellectual and men as great as he was, are born once in centuries. He was born in January 1897 in a village names Kaga wala situated about 8 kilometers in the south of Peshawar city on main Kohat road near Badaber. He got formal education up to class 10 from Islamia High school Peshawar city and adopted the profession of education where he taught the children of lesser gods. But he soon realized that his heart and mind were made for some other thing different from what he was doing. He did not like to serve the government rather wished to help his people and humanity from the atrocities and injustices prevailing in society at that time means that he was born free and loved freedom for all and wanted to fly in an atmosphere of the freedom and break all kinds of shackles and fetters of slaver which have fastened the humanity. He wanted to get sub- continent salvated from the plundering and looting by the imperialists. Consequently, kaka ji said good by to the profession of education and took an active part in the practical politics. He founded , Anjuman Zamindaran, in his own village in 1926 where he noticed that farmers and poor growers were taking an interest in his work so he was greatly encouraged and moved towards the atmosphere of the city to expand the sphere of his work. Doing politics was not as easy as we see today by the time because there were no facilities of the travelling and other communication. By the time kaka ji was a young man and participated in a movement called, Nojwanan Baharat Sabha, which wanted a direct action against the English contrary to the decision of the congress committee. His participation gave a new spirit and hope to the movement. Kaka ji was put behind the bar by the imperialists on the crime of patriotism and love with his people. When he was set free, then he was a more changed man who had more spirit in his heart to serve his people and soil with a new enthusiasm. He felt the need of more integrated and stronger political organization. He started publishing a weekly from Peshawar namely, SILAB, which indeed proved to be a flood for the enemies and motivation of the general public. So the English rulers counted it in the dangerous element for their government and confiscated the publication. Not only the publication was banned but his arrest warrant was also issued. His aides and comrades advised him to leave his home for tribal area. Kaka ji accepted what his friends advised. He found that Haji sahibTarangzai was already there who was busy working against imperialists to liberate the sub-continent from their clutches. Kaka ji accepted his allegiance and stayed there for almost 18 years working for the movement of freedom. When in 1947, the English left sub-continent and India was liberated while Pakistan was born, he came back his home once again from tribal territory and started publishing a monthly ASLAM which was a standard Pashto magazine. Besides, he laid the foundation of an Anjuman Olasi Adabi Jirga .This Anjuman brought a revolution in the world of Pashto poem and literature and gave a new tradition of the open critic. This trend not only promoted the poem but prose also. The magic personality of Kaka ji attracted the poets of all shades and languages towards him. There was no question of religion, cast, creed, color and political affiliation among those who used to sit around kaka ji. He was a social and political person, a writer and a man of principles and had many books and writings to his credit. He wrote on social and political issues. Baba I Ghazal Ameer Hamza Khan Shinwari writes about Kaka ji: He wanted to over power the imperialist and exploitative forces and wished that poor laborers and growers to be considered as human beings. He neither bowed before any despot nor was he impressed by any cruel man or system. He stood like rock before the cruel and exploitative system and nothing could move him from his chosen path. He was a determined and committed man to his cause. His precious part of life was spent in mountains and deserts. Kaka ji was a strong and firm Pashtun. He loved Pashto language and served it till the end of his life. Once I said to him, it is right time to take rest now: He replied that it is the sign of weakness and death. He had all qualities what a pashtun have concerning hospitality. Mir Mehdi Shah bacha says about him in these words: He was a great man and a revolutionary. His words had love and attraction. His face had a smiling all the time for every one. His talks were sweet and one wanted to hear him more and more. Great Pashtun nationalist politician and poet Ajmal Khattak says that Kaka ji was a living person and will live until the world exists as people like him will never die. Such people are alive in hearts and minds of the people. He was not only a literary person but at same time he was a political leader and reformer. Kaka ji believed that only change of faces would not work. Change of system is the real thing which would solve the problems of the people. Condition of the poor can not be changed until capitalism exists. If one likes to change the fate of the poor then he will have to change the system of capitalism. Kaka ji also believed that rights can not be obtained by just demands and simple asking. Kaka ji was so great that only one article is not enough for it. This great revolutionary politician, writer, poet and intellectual departed for his eternal abode on January 3, 1963 in his village Kaka wala and was buried there.

The United States wants to continue drone strikes inside Pakistan’s tribal areas because US military experts believe the strikes have killed a large number of Al Qaeda leaders and local militants and have destroyed their hideouts
A US account of the strikes, conveyed to Pakistan, and obtained by DAWN depicts a picture which is very different from the public perception in Pakistan that the strikes only kill innocent civilians and children
The document identifies militant leaders as HVT or high value targets.

According to this document, on Dec 3, 2007, a Predator strike injured Shaykh Issa al-Masri in Jani Khel, Bannu.

On Jan 28, 2008, a Predator killed HVT Abu Layth Al-Libi and associates in Salam Kot, North Waziristan.

On Feb 27, 2008, a drone killed foreign Al Qaeda trainees. On March 16, 2008, more Al Qaeda trainees were killed. The document does not identify those killed in these attacks and does not reveal the places hit by the drones.

On May 14, 2008, a Predator killed HVT Abu Sulayman Al-Jazairi and associates in Damadola, Bajaur.

On July 28, 2008, a Predator strike killed HVT Abu Khabab Al-Masri and other Al Qaeda activists.

On Aug 12, 2008, a Predator killed foreign fighters and militants associated with HVT Usama Al-Kini and commander Nazir.

On Aug 27, 2008, a Predator attempted to target an Al Qaeda-associated meeting but missed target. It did not cause collateral damage.

On Aug 30, 2008, a Predator strike killed Al Qaeda paramilitary operatives subordinate to Al Qaeda commander and East Africa Embassy bomber Usama Al Kini.On Aug 31, 2008, a Predator killed several Al Qaeda operatives, including two prominent Al Qaeda paramilitary commanders.

On Sept 2, 2008, a Predator killed four to 10 persons associated with Al Qaeda commander and logistician Abu Wafa Al Saudi.

On Sept 4, 2008, a Predator strike killed Abu Wafa Al Saudi.

On Sept 8, 2008, a Predator killed several Haqqani sub-commanders and a number of Arabs. Members of the extended Haqqani family were killed.

On Sept 11, 2008, a Predator killed 10 to 15 militants associated with Al Qaeda facilitator Qari Imran’s training camp.

On Sept 17, 2008, a Predator killed 4-6 militants delivering rockets to a militant camp near the Afghan border and probably HVT Abu Ubaydh Al Tunisi.
Now one will understand that the Drones are more useful because the drones hit the real targets and there are few or no casualties of the civilians like Pakistani indiscriminate bombardment which is alleged to hit the innocent and leave the real culprits or terrorists.
After 2001, all the guests of Pakistani intelligence Agency ISI were brought to the FATA especially Waziristan and an Islamic emirate was founded for them there from where the militants had to keep continued the subversive activities in Afghanistan. When the guests of Pakistani establishment started destructive activities in Afghanistan where the peace, democracy and development were in danger, the allied forces soldiers along with Afghan soldiers were killed, the Americans and allied had no other option except Drone attacks. If Pakistan is averse to these drone attacks then it will have to give surety to allied forces in Afghanistan that Pakistani security forces would eliminate terrorists from FATA but it is clear like sun that the Pakistani forces have completely failed to either nab terrorists or eliminate them for last more than 7 years. Several people in FATA were interviewed about drone attacks said that they were the real treatment and this action has turned the militants very confused and now they have no way out to run.. United States gave more than 1400 billion$ to Pakistan to eliminate terrorists but it badly failed and instead the terrorism increased many times. Swat and other districts of Pashtunkhwa Province were included in promotion of terrorism and the real objective was to divert the attention of international community from the real situations and Islamic Emirate of militants in Waziristan and FATA.
Those who oppose the drone strikes are included religious political parties which have good relationship and understanding with military and ISI. Both are considered same because both have same aim and objective. As for as Pashtun population and Political people are concerned, they term drone attacks very useful to eliminate terrorist from FATA. People in FATA and other restive districts have been so terrified that today people are afraid to open the mouth and speak the truth because the ruthlessness and barbarism have crossed all limits.

It was shocking to know that terrorists shot an official of UNHCR and his security guard at Kacha Ghari Camp in Peshawar where they had gone to see the condition of IDPs who have migrated from the restive districts of the Pashtunkhwa Province and FATA due to ongoing military operation against militants. Now a day in provincial capital Peshawar the incidents of kidnapping have risen to the extent that any one who is on road will have to feel the warmth of it and no one’s life and property are safe. Abductors can do any thing they want and any one comes under their vicious eyes will have to be taken away by them and then abductees will have to surrender to their conditions which they put before the poor soul. Such people are sold from one to other and it is said and we hear here that at last abductees will have to find themselves with the high ups of militants whose demands are above one’s understanding. There are also reports that militants active in Peshawar and surrounding areas who are fund starved for the subversive activities are involved in such heinous crimes against Pashtun People whose houses have already been demolished and businesses have come to a halt. Kidnapping, killing and torturing are not new for those who are living in Peshawar but assassination of those guests who are serving our internally displaced persons is really a sorry state of affairs and such activities not only harm us in our own homes but create problems and misunderstanding for us abroad. For the last more than 7 years we have been hearing that military of Pakistan is engaged fighting with militants but this is a complete futile exercise and seems just a friendly fire between two and getting dollars from Americans and Europeans to run the institutions which are fund starved. In such dramas many Pashtun Mashran and influential Political people were assassinated ruthlessly and lost their lives. Whosoever dared to disclose it then he or she will have to find his or her grave because no one can dare to face the wrath of military and militants. It is interesting to note that a victim of terrorism in Swat was asked by a militant as to what he thinks about militants and military.
The poor victim replied that militants are pious people like companions of Prophet of Islam and Military is as innocent as a prophet and I am the real sinner because you both torture me and killing me.
Few months ago Afghan Counselor General and nominated Ambassador of Afghanistan to Islamabad Haji Abdul Khaliq Farahi was abducted on broad day light from Hayat Abad and similarly Iranian Consulat official was kidnapped but till this day their where about is not known. We do not know as to why Afghan and Iranian governments are silent over this. Pashtun are living in worst conditions and all times Damocles sword is hanging on their heads.

Militancy in Pashtun region (FATA+Province) seems not to come to an end soon. There are reasons that one will find that inhabitants of the area in question are like hostages by terrorist and religious extremists busy doing destructive activities in region who have been supported by state agencies for last many years and my statement in this regard is supported by the incumbent president of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Ali Zardari who few days back had said that the militants are the product of Pakistan and were actively funded, trained and equipped by the state Agencies of Pakistan to fight against India. One will wonder as to why militants are busy in subversive in Pashtun areas including FATA. This is very simple. When militants in 2001 were toppled by the allied forces in Kabul, Afghanistan the militants ran away towards FATA which is situated in the south-east of Afghanistan and took shelter there with support of the Pakistani Agencies where they formed their own Islamic Emirate and started teasing and tormenting the local population. Most of them married there with local women without the consent of women and such girls were got married to militants due to fear and duress.
Taliban or religious militants are today controlling about 90% of region (Pashtun areas including Province of NWFP and FATA) where the women are suffered more heavily than the others. The disastrous consequences of the decades of civil wars and armed conflicts in Pashtun areas including FATA have weighted heavily on women of the region. While the battles of death are played out by men, women have responsibility for battle of life through years of fighting, destruction and displacement; Pashtun women have struggled to support and sustain their families. Injury, death and loss of family breadwinners have forced women into assuming a greater role in providing for their dependents, a role which has become increasingly more difficult as war and conflicts have impoverished the province and adversely affected socio-economic development in all areas even those far removed from frontline fighting. Indiscriminate bombing in FATA, Swat, Buner and Dir by both the extremist Taliban and security forces have caused heavy loss of humanity and casualties of women and children are innumerable. In addition to conflict zones women have been subjected to gender specific human rights abuses, such as rape and sexual assault, forced marriage and prostitution.
Restrictions placed on women by the Taliban in FATA, Swat, Buner, Mardan, Kohat, Dir, Buner and Peshawar
Complete ban on women working out side their homes, including teachers, doctors and engineers
Complete restriction on woman’s movement out side of their houses without a mahram (Father, brother or husband)
Ban on dealing with male shopkeepers.
Ban on being treated by a male doctors.
Ban on studying at school, university or any other educational institution
Compulsory wearing of a long veil (Shuttle cock) which covers women from head to toe.
Whipping, beating and verbal abuse of women whose Burqa is not worn in accordance with Taliban rules. The same applies to women found in public without a mahram(Recently a young girl of 17 was flogged by the Taliban for going out her home with father in law, though the real story was that she rejected the proposal of a militant Talib to marry)
Ban on listening to music not for women but for men as well. Women have been leading a difficult and miserable life and are worried about their life and siblings. One woman was so terrified by the bombing of the security forces few days back in Dir that she forgot her one year child in cradle and left for Peshawar where she recalled that her sibling was left behind. The condition of women in our community is so horrific that one who has heart will shed tear hearing their sorrowful news and watching their miseries. We are willing to work in this sector and the mission of our organization is to develop the miserable condition of women folk and youth of our community.
It is very interesting and nice to hear that there are groups around the world working for the welfare of women but as for as Pashtun women (FATA) are concerned they leading a life which is below humanity and are treated badly not only by the male members of their community but by militants as well who have the state and intelligence agencies support in Pakistan. Today our Pashtun region is engulfed by the terrorists and the first attack of militants and terrorists is on women. They tell the innocent people that only women are responsible for entire mess in area. Women should remain in houses and have no right to come out of their homes, the militants and extremists in region advise people. This is a pre-planned conspiracy against our people to be taken away to the medieval age by terrorists’ religious militants who have no program for social change and development except few wrong and out dated stories of the past Arabian Peninsula.

After the allied forces came in Afghanistan in oct:2001, Pakistan had to save the minimum investment in the form of Taliban and Al-Qaeda . It is worth mentioning that Pakistan will be only 5% sincere in elimination of the Al-Qaeda operatives while on Taliban she will never compromise as it is believed that they are the own children of Pakistan .For Pashtun Nation both are same as Pashtun need peace and development in the region while the presence of these forces have multiplied their problems and have created trouble for the Pashtun, these views were expressed by a tribal chief on the condition of not disclosing his name. The safe havens were provided to Taliban and Al-Qaeda operatives in the mountains adjacent to the south and east of the Afghanistan near Durand line. Most of them were provided safe shelters in the seminaries and mosques in settled areas of the NWFP (Lower Pashtunkhwa) by the ISI, and bureaucracy including Political Agents of the tribal Agencies across Durand line without the consent of the tribal Pashtun as these areas have been ruling by the bureaucracy sitting in Islamabad for the last 60 years without doing any developmental work for the welfare of the tribal Pashtun. The Tableeghi Jumat, a religious organization struggling hard to make the people orthodox religious, having their center in Lahore , Pakistan have a special attention on the Pashtun to bring them to Lahore and train them for 4 months or 120 days is also believed to have played a role in sheltering the Taliban and Al-Qaeda in their center Lahore to get Pashtun forget their Nationalism. Initially Taliban and Al-Qaeda operatives were advised by the Pakistani intelligence sleuths not to take steps against the American and allied forces stationed in Afghanistan . But they kept continued their skirmishes in Afghanistan across Durand line,attacked and backed to their safe abodes with the collaboration of the intelligence agencies without the permission of the tribal people as tribal Pashtun have no say and no role in the drama staged in FATA against Pashtun and Afghanistan . When Pakistani high-ups sensed that Americans engaged in Iraq, then they geared up their friends Taliban and Al-Qaeda operatives to initiate their anti Afghanistan activities and damage all what were constructed in the last few years, particularly the schools where Pashtun children were studying the science, opined a tribal political activist .It is also pertinent to mention that the anti Pashtun and anti Afghanistan forces do not like to see Pashtun children having books in their hands. The antagonistic negative forces understand it well that one who reads book can not be misguided easily and their ulterior motives can not be materialized. There are credible and reliable information that the Pakistani ISI started assistance to the Taliban with weapons and pelf. They started their activities in Waziristan on a low scale, and beat the weak people like dressers ,bombed music centers and punished some low profile wicked in the area to get the support of the local people. They then started beheading some people to spread terror among the inhabitants. After getting more and more stronger by the help of the Pakistani intelligence Agency (ISI) and alleged drug mafia, they initiated the steps to tease the locals on the basis of such heinous crimes like kidnapping the affluent people, killing and assassinating the political and influential tribal Pashtun, secular, democratic and progressive nationalist to wipe them off and create a vacuum for them. People are just slaves and hostages and leading a life on the mercy of the miscreants. It is also worth mentioning that common tribal have no role in this game engineered by the ISI of Pakistan with the collaboration of some religious influential people, these views were expressed by a victim of terrorism. May be some Norco-businessmen will be having the hands but majority of the tribesmen are having no role in it. Political administration and establishment are be fooling the international community by telling them pack of lies that tribal territory is very dangerous and no one except Pakistani forces will have courage to fight against the extremists there. This is a mountainous area and fighting is very difficult thing here, such lies are told by the establishment to the international community and is trying to deceive them about the real situations in FATA. In tribal region which comprises 7 Agencies and six FRs(Frontier Regions ) even a leaf can not shake without the permission of the Political Agent and Pakistani Government. How can extremists operatives and other Taliban will do their activities without their assistance ?.When Taliban and Al-Qaeda activities increased the pressure on Pakistan built up. Now Pakistani ruling junta has to do something against theirown extremist forces. First they tell them that operation will be started on such and such day. There fore they should move to safer places. Then operation starts by the military while few Taliban retaliate. According to credible information and eye witnesses military men strike the places where there is no Talib or extremist. The real places are not hit. Only the miseries and troubles of the innocent Pashtuns increase. Schools are closed, hospitals are non functional, business activities come to stand still, and people are forced to move to safer places for shelter and security reasons. People are terrified and their children and women have nothing except weeping, mourning and wailing. Men are arrested on the charges of helping terrorists and extremists, which is wrong. Terrorists, extremists, militants and military men all come out of the same basket in Pakistan .Islamic insurgents are trained in different places in Pakistan . There are camps where these people are trained, and then these insurgents are brought to tribal territory and are moved onward to Afghanistan to fight against allied and Afghan forces. Their main objective is to get allied forces teased to flee from Afghanistan and they themselves move to Kabul and seize it, from where they will spread terrorism in different parts of the world. Previously Talibanization was in tribal areas, but with the passage of the time, this spread to the settled districts of the lower Pashtunkhwa. The objective of the Pakistani establishment is to spread the religious Taliban to more and more areas of the Pashtunkhwa, this side of the Durand line, so that to create more and more tumultuous situations and to engage her Army in a friendly fight. In this way several aims could be achieved. One is to get assistance from the American and international community for the military, and second is to add to problems of the allied forces in Afghanistan . The entire FATA and settled areas of the Pashtunkhwa have been handed over to extremist out-fits and Jihadi organizations where Pakistani establishment needs to eliminate progressive nationalist, secular and democratic political people and Pashtun tribal Chiefs who are avers to the extremism and want peace to prevail in region. The Government thinks that her objectives could be obtained only through the religious out-fits .Thatâ€™s why in this way the above mentioned positive people are discouraged by promoting insurgents and militants by the establishment of Pakistan. In such uncertain and anarchic situations the extremist and negative anti Pashtun forces could get safer places to hide themselves. In election 2002 , the ISI of Pakistan created an atmosphere and forced people particularly Pashtun to get MMA voted to power. MMA was especially formed by the secret agencies over nights. This was an alliance of the religious Political parties to misguide the simple Pashtun on the name of the religion and exploit the situations. This alliance was needed to Pakistani ISI to win in two provinces namely NWFP (Pashtunkhwa) and Balochistan because both the provinces were adjacent to Durand line. In Khyber Agency a bus conductor Mangal Bagh was created by the intelligence Agencies and imposed on the tribal Pashtun of the Khyber Agency who has the power to decide the future of the Pashtun tribes there .He does what he wants as he is the sole authority in Khyber Agency and the state representative, Political Agent has no role to play in the presence of Mangal Bagh. The inhabitants of the Khyber Agency FATA have been taken as hostages and they are fed up of what is going on there on their soil. Now the said cleric is running a parallel Govt. in Khyber Agency. Before this man who has no knowledge of the religion, there were two religious mullahs(Clerics) namely mufti shakir and pir. People were engaged in fighting through these mullas. When the situations got seriously disturbed and pressure built up on Pakistan to solve the problem, she apparently forced both mullas to leave the Agency. Both disappeared for some time and later on one was seen shaking hand with Ijazul Haq ,a former religious federal minister in the cabinet of Shoukat Aziz under the president Musharraf and the son of a late military dictator General Zial Haq. The other came to lime light at a time when he started his preach in Jana Kor a tribal strip of FR Peshawar situated in the south of the metropolitan Peshawar . Besides, there are other extremist clerics too in Khyber Agency like Namdar, Pir Noorul Haq and other Tableeghees. The Khyber Agency is completely at the mercy of the extremists who have made the life of common people like hell. In Mahmand Agency, an other area of the FATA which was a peaceful territory, extremist forces were encouraged there after the Govt. bombarded Masjid Hafza in Islamabad last year. In Bajor, Maulana Liaqat and Maulana Faqir Muhammad were made to lead the people there breaking the Pashtun code. In Swat an other Molana with the name of Fazlullah suddenly appeared on the scene after he spent four months in tableeghee jumat in lahore a city of Pakistan in Punjab province which is known for the conspiracies against Pashtun Nation and Afghanistan alike. Before his new appointment he was just a driver of the Chair(This chair is used in the area where there is no bridge on the river swat for the passengers to be crossed over the river). According to information of the local people loaded trucks of the weapons were seen to provide weapons to molana and his friends. After some time his disciples started beheading the innocent people of Swat international pressure developed on the govt. once again to redress the problem of terrorism concerning Swat valley the rulers were compelled to engage in a friendly fight with extremist forces. Now it is claimed that extremists were pushed away to either mountains or some safer areas. But it is pertinent to mention that problem once again was not solved and left incomplete .The situations are uncertain and people look at security agencies with suspicion. Darra Adam Khel an other strip of the FATA on main high way near Kohat , a southern settled district of NWFP(Pashtunkhwa) was handed over to the extremist forces for the sole aim of looting and hitting the supply of the American and NATO forces in Afghanistan . When the people of the said tribal area were fed up with the activities of the Taliban and more than three army vehicles loaded with weapons were confiscated, the govt .took steps to force the Taliban to apparently flee from the area at least for some time. But it is very interesting and ironic for the Pashtun Nation that military personnel were not striking the places where extremist forces were hidden, according to some reports gathered from the locals. This again was a friendly fire between two same forces in which almost all the extremist forces were safe and sound and were not harmed. Pashtun and their home Pashtunkhwa is burning in the fire which Pashtun have not lit. There are reports that the Americans have announced to spend 750 million $ on the development of FATA, but it is feared that Pakistani establishment in Islamabad are not sincere with Pashtun as they never like to see the child of Pashtun having book in his hand. Pashtun want prosperity and peace in their region and want development and happiness in their home Pashtunkhwa and Afghanistan . This is only possible with Pashtun National Unity.

As we all know that for the last several days, a violent and fierce fighting has apparently started between two sects of Muslims in Kurram Agency FATA where scores of people have reported either to be killed or maimed. The victims include mostly young men, students, aged people, women, children and cattle. Most people have left their houses and have taken shelter in nearby areas like Kohat and Peshawar. Some have migrated to Afghanistan across Durand Line, which artificially separates one nation (Pakhtoon) into two parts. It is reported that the local administration has played no role to stop the ongoing fighting and save the poor souls from the atrocities and barbarism of those cannibals who are supposed to eat the flesh and bones of the innocent Pakhtoons, having no value for humanity in their hearts. The government is no more than just a silent spectator, media persons are not allowed on the pretext that their lives could be faced with the danger. It is seen as there is no government to save the life and property of the citizens. Kurram Agency was considered to a safe haven , where the people were aware that some agencies were trying to get them entangled in fighting against one another for the last several years but could not succeed. At last the secrets hands did succeed and got what they were struggling to get. But still the shameful and prudent people of the concerned area of the opinion that the war has been imposed on them by some one who does not like to see their peace and obtain the nefarious and ulterior motives. On the other hands, an other hands an other area of Pakhtoons has been burning for the last few years where the political situations are very alarming, and a wise could guess that they have reached the point of no return. Now a new drama was staged by the Pakistani establishment, in the form of , LASHKAR,a pro-government out fit of the so-called local Taliban under a notorious mulla namely Nazir, who is said to be a leader of the Taliban in Waziristan. These pro-government Taliban are apparently chasing the so-called foreign terrorists, which means set a thief to catch a thief. In the ongoing fighting scores of the Pakhtoon elders were assassinated, and the assassins are still unknown, people do not understand as to what is going on, on their land and what are the purposes behind this farce? For Pakhtoon, whether they are foreign as well as local Taliban, both are dangerous and poisonous. Both are inhuman, anti- Pakhtoon, and anti Afghanistan. These are the people who cross over to Afghanistan, capture the foreigners as well as Pakhtoon/Afghans, laborers, poor drivers, Journalists NGOs workers etc. who are engaged to develop the infra-structure of the war-ravaged country, and then bargain on their heads with the government and the countries they belong to. A recent horrific and painful story of the Journalist Ajmal Naqashbandi turned the whole world trickling tears due to his sorrowful and tragic assassination by Taliban. May God bless his soul and rest him peace and give tolerance to his bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss, and to the government and people of Afghanistan. When the demands of Taliban are not answered, then the captives are beheaded with a ruthless manner to console their slept conscious that they have served the religion through their barbaric, inhuman, and wicked medieval attitude against the humanity, especially Pakhtoon/Afghans. The government of Pakistan seems not to take matter serious to eliminate terrorists and their nests where they are nurtured. These terrorists are the guests of Pakistani establishment who have been serving them in a better way to destroy Pakhtoon/Afghans and to capture their land and resources for which they have their bad intentions since long. Or either they have sensed gravity of the present situations like those of the then East Pakistan and now an independent and sovereign state with the name of Bangladesh, where more than 3 million people were slaughtered and o.5 million women raped, with the collaboration of the contractors of Islam, the infamous clergy. Bajor agency, an other area of ethnic Pakhtoons was bombarded purportedly by Pakistani security forces on the pretext that terrorists were getting training there. It is right to destroy the terrorists, but these rules should be applied everywhere in the country. In Islamabad terrorists are free to challenge the writ of the government and establish the courts like Taliban had set-up in Afghanistan before 2001.Musharraf very innocently announces that they do not want to show them iron hand, because these terrorists are their son, daughters and above all Pakistani. But if situations like these arise in areas of Pakhtoon and Baloch, and then they are targeted and bombarded ruthlessly, what a hypocritical approach these Pakistani rulers have for different citizens at different places? We think that a terrorist will be terrorist whether he or she be in Islamabad or FATA. Tirah an other area of the unlucky Pakhtoon of the Khyber Agency where the situations are also of the worst type. The establishment has put rift among the people and has divided them on religious sectarianism, an old tactic of the establishment through which it gets its aims in the area. The simple and straight-forwarded Pakhtoon tribles have been living in the area for centuries with religious harmony and tolerance. These poor lots have no concern with any Islamic out-fits. All groups are working on the name of Islam, which is not accepted to tribal and Pakhtoons. This drama is also staged by the administration to seek support for the own terrorists people. Because in such circumstances, the terrorists could find safe haven, from where they could easily keep continued their terrorist activities against Afghanistan. In settled areas of NWFP (Pukhtoon Khwa) the political situations are also alarming and are going from bad to worse and now even have reached its superlative degree of worst, schools are threatened to be closed, parents are threatened not to send girls daughters to school, as they think it an un-Islamic act. Barbers are forbidden to cut the hair and make-shaves. A new Mullah the son-in-law of the erstwhile Sufi-Muhammad the head of apparently defunct religious group of shariat Mohammadi, who is now a days taking rest in D.I.Khan jail due to the rage and anger of the people whom sons he had taken to Afghanistan in 2001, who were killed there and the Mullah returned safe and sound. This Mullah Ride on white horse and give tickets of paradise to those who get their daughters extricated of the school and sends them to his religious seminary. Govt is reluctant to arrest this man. Once the govt. sent police/ army to arrest him on the Friday, at prayer time, which it definitely could not, because on that day, a large number of the people gathered there. People would have to resist. These tactics mean to get him famous and make a seudo-hero of him among the people. All the people including UN, America, Western countries and political, civil and human rights organizations should understand it and do not take Pakhtoons for terrorists or Al-Quaida and Taliban. Pakhtoons are by birth a secular nation. It is evident from the fact, that when Pakistan came in to being, there was only Pukhtoon Khwa where a secular government of congress was operating under the chief Minister Dr. Khan Sahib. The present nature is an artificial one, which is prepared by the establishment of Pakistan with the connivance of co-called religious clergy.

Peace Jirga between Afghanistan and Pakistan

Jirga is a traditional and historical custom of Pakhtun/Afghans .Whenever Pakhtun faces problem or a dispute, they call a Jirga to discuss imbroglio and find the means and ways for its amicable solution. The decisions made in a jirga, are like a law for pashtuns and they are bound to abide by all the decisions of the Jirga. Those who defy the decisions of jirga, have to face the punishments adopted by the elders” MASHARAN” of the jirga. The violators are fined and in some cases they are forced to leave the area for sometime or forever as the decision are taken with a consensus of the members of the Jirga, keeping seriousness of the crime between disputing parties. The consent and willingness are taken from both the disputing parties before holding of jirga. If any of the parties does not agree then Jirga proceedings are not initiated. Pashtun Jirga has its own elders “Commonly known as “Mashran”. The bail which is obtained before holding of Pashtun Jirga is in the form of cash money, rifles (guns) or both. In case a party does not accept the verdict of the jirga its bail is confiscated and punished.

Professor Sidiqullah Rishteen a well known pakhtun/Afghan writer who writes about jirga in his book “ Pashtun Ways ”. There are two types of Jirga one is “Loya Jirga” or Big Jirga and other is Wara jirga or small Jirga. When ever a big national issue happens a Loya Jirga is called and the problem is solved through it but when there is an issue concerning Pakhtun on a local base, a small Jirga is constituted and the problem is discussed and amicably solved between disputed parties. When a disputing party does not agree to give power of attorney then mashran of Jirga give in their verdict , in case of non – acceptance an other jirga is called and the MASHRAN try their best to take the problem to as amicable solution between the warring factions. Professor Rishteen traces back the historical perspective of the Jirga and writes “Loya Jirga has an important place in the history of Afghans/Pakhtuns. First afghan /pakhtun King “ Great Ahmad shah abdali” “Ahmad shah baba “as the pakhtun call him due to his greatness was elected as a king with help of a loya Jirga constituted by afghans in 1141 Hijra or 1747 A.D in Kandhar, Afghanistan.

Jirga is an excellent example of the democracy. No one will be able to find such as example where subjects have chosen their king with the help of Jirga except Pashtun / Afghans.

Those who claim loudly on the international forum that Pakhtuns/ Afghans do not know democracy or they are not democrats those anti-Pakhtun elements should bother to read the history of Pakhtuns and they themselves will realize how much the pakhtun nation is a democratic one and how much their contribution is towards the democratization of the institutions. World should know that paktuns have a history of the democracy. They love it and work to run democracy. If people sitting in the establishment of Pakistan including General Pervez Mushrraf are not tried telling the world that pakhtuns are Taliban and Taliban are pashtun, they all are ignorant and have simply closed their eyes. Pashtun are not Taliban. Taliban or the fundamentalist forces are the by product of the Afghan war which Pakistani establishment was fighting and for the purpose people were required and unfortunately the war was on the land of Pakhtun/Afghans so these poor lots were used by the Pakistani establishment and still this establishment is using those negative forces against Afghanistan , as the entire world understands that people sitting in the foreign office of Pakistan do keep their intervention in the internal affairs of Afghanistan and does not like to see a democratic and prosperous Afghanistan . Pakhtun understand democracy and they have a respect for all the decisions of the Jirga. All the Jirgas of Pakhtun / Afghans are democratic. In jirgas all and sundry take part. But the authority is in the hands of those who are the elders of the jirga called “MASHRAN”. Those who know the customs and traditions of Pakhtun/ Afghan in a better way are chosen as the elders for the Jirga. This is one of the important factors. But this should be kept in mind that the opinion of majority is favored.
A peace jirga is going to be held in the first week of August 2007 between Afghanistan and Pakistan . In said Jirga, about 700 members from both the countries will participate. 350 members will be from Afghanistan and a similar number of the members will participate from Pakistan . The venue for jirga is Kabul . Now we come to the point as to why this peace jirga is being held between these two countries. We should little go to the history of Afghanistan . Where there has been a war for the last 30 years or so. During this period Afghanistan was severely ravaged and damaged. The Afghans suffered heavily and faced troubles. There troubles are not yet finished. The problem of Afghanistan is the problem of the whole world. Those who think that the problem of Afghanistan is their own; such people are not aware of the politics of the world and are ignorant.

This is out rightly a wrong and negative thinking. Attacks on America in 2001 by the terrorist in which thousands of the innocent and peaceful souls vanished. Similarly the consecutive bomb explosions in various cities of Pakistan particularly in pakhtunkhwa where again the innocent people become victims of terrorism of the terrorists crossing over the Durand line by the extremists and terrorist forces and establishing the peace and democracy in Afghanistan by theses forces in question show that the problem of Afghanistan is not a local one. This is an international problem. Peace in Afghanistan is in the favor of the world. If Afghanistan is unstable and peace is not found there then the entire world might be at risk and would be at the disposal of the negative forces. The neighboring countries of Afghanistan should take sincere steps for bringing peace and stability in that country. The solution of the Afghanistan problem is the need of hour. Today we see that Pakistan also faces instability and peace is in danger where secular and democratic forces are weaker while negative and extremists forces are stronger and can do anything they wish to do. They have the pelf and power. They are backed by the establishment of Pakistan . Mulla and military are one soul and one body. But when military sees its death then clergy a long time and old friend of the military becomes scrap goat.

Clergy men are slaughtered. World should not be a mere blind follower and accept that all what a military dictator tell them. World should ask the military uniformed president as to who are backing the extremist and negative forces in Pakistan at the cost of liberal , secular and democratic political parties and people alike. Who are the architects of these so called negative forces? Who train them and why? Who funnel huge sums of money to these extremists and who have been supervising these seminars for the last 30 years?
Now these forces have turned indomitable and when Pakistan comes under pressure only then a seminary or an extremist cleric is targeted. There is a flood of the fire brand clergymen and religious seminars which are propped up to keep and intervention in Afghanistan and wage a war in Kashmir . The establishment of Islamabad has never been sincere to see a stable and peaceful neighboring Afghanistan because it thinks that unstable and impoverished Afghanistan is in the benefit of Pakistan . They think when Afghanistan gets stronger then she will demand for her lost territories and issue of Durand line will come to surface once again. This is a real threat for them and this haunts them resultantly the fire burnt in Afghanistan reached Islamabad due to wrong policies of Pakistani establishment against Afghanistan .

This should also be kept in mind that real fault does not lie on Durand line. This fault is situated some where away from here. If Pakistani establishment is sincere she should rather eliminate the sources of extremism and fundamentalism instead of fencing and mining of the Durand line. Fencing and mining are inhuman and insincerity. This is not the solution of the issue. Extremists and terrorist will never stop their movement across Durand line. They are well trained and know how to cross the Durand line. Until and unless the sources and nests are eliminated. The movement across the Durand line by the negative forces will keep continued. Fencing and mining will multiply the problems of those pakthun/Afghans that live there and are dependant on each other.
The tribes living both sides of the Durand line are pakhtuns. If curbs are put on their free movement this step will destroy not ally their relationship but their economy also which will further add to their miseries and uncertainty will prevail. People sitting in Islamabad do not know this fact and they have no time to think over the important issues. They increase the problems rather than minimizing them. In the up coming peace jirga people living on Durand line should be given representation to let the world know about their problems.

An overwhelming situation is seen in Afghanistan about peace Jirga which is to be held in first week of August, 2007 in Kabul . But no enthusiasm is witnessed in Pakistan so far. It means that the suffers are Afghans, who want to see the dawn of peace in their country. The president of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai has called the Pakhtun political leadership including Asfandiyar Wali khan, Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Moulana Fazal Rahman of the JUI, a Political cum religious leader. He had a discussion with them all about peace Jirga. But Pakistani establishment or the Jirga commission has not yet invited them to Jirga.
This is true that the real problem is between Afghanistan and Pakistan . But one should understand the problem of terrorism and extremism is not related to Afghanistan only. Now this is a Political problem and concerning to the entire world. Therefore, it is necessary that the representatives from America , Canada , European Union, UNO , Organization of Islamic Conference, Germany and Japan in particular should be invited to observe the proceeding of the jirga. This will give an impetus to Jirga and the implementation of the decisions of Jirga will be made practical in the presence of the world powers. To me a third power is needed between Afghanistan and Pakistan , as a guarantor.

Jirga is a traditional and historical Custom of Pakhtun/Afghans only. In Pakistan only the Pakhtuns living this side of Durand Line understand it, while all people in Afghanistan know the Jirgas. Pakistan does not understand the Jirga, but still Pukhtuns hope positively that at least this will be cleared that where are the real source of terrorism which intervene in Afghanistan and risk the peace there? The ways and means could be found to curb the the activities of the terrorists.

May God forbid! If the upcoming peace Jirga did not succeed and the world will not take the problem of Afghanistan in a serious manner, then the peaceful, prosperous and democratic world will be no more the cradle of peace. The terrorists will destroy it. World should deem it seriously. America and Taliban should also realize that they are unable to rule Afghanistan again. As their government was seen by people where there was no State, no human rights, unable to walk side by side with world. A welfare and democratic state is the need of the hour. The President Hamid Karzai and his team is an efficient one who strive hard to put the country on the track of democracy, prosperity and development.

General public do not like Mujahideen and Taliban .people have an obligation to back the democratic government in the Afghanistan , and play their due role in the re-construction of the country. Almost all the Wars in Afghanistan have fought in the areas where Pashtuns are in majority. Today those areas are again in the grip of the fighting. Pakhtun should try to understand as to why they are fighting Wars. They are not the only people to fight wars for the religion. Now they are tired, other Muslim countries should take this responsibility, if they want to serve the cause of religion, if they claim?

Pashtuns should be left over to get modern education, come closer to the science and modern technology, learn to walk with the world side by side and build their country for their posterity where democracy and prosperity prevail.

I have said time and again that Pashtuns are not terrorists and the real terrorists are the Army Generals, Punjabi bureaucrats and Politicians who have been running, supporting, financing, and morally assisting the terrorist organizations and providing training facilities to terrorists in Punjab and then those hardcore terrorists are sent to the Pashtun areas (NWFP,FATA and onward to Afghanistan) where they destroy the peace of the Pashtun region. We also accept that few Pashtun individuals for their selfish interest would have accompanied them in their anti-Pashtun/Afghan activities, but that too would be on the directives of the Punjabi dominated Pakistani establishment, notorious intelligence Agency ISI and some clergymen in the garb of religion. We have been telling that Pakistani establishment has two faces ,one is enlightened, moderate and secular for the west while for Afghanistan and Pashtun her second face is full of the horror and draconian.

l. But the west and Americans should try to understand that they are being frequently deceived by these crooks. They should be wise enough to know all what the Generals of Pakistan are doing against terrorism, Because here to prey with hounds and running with hares is a common practice. Pakistani rulers want to see the religious fundamentalists in area of Pashtuns ,because they are afraid of the progressive, democratic and nationalist people whom they think will demand for the non- interference in the external affairs of Afghanistan, Pashtun National Unity, abolition of the Durand line between one Nation and co-operation with the American and allied forces to root out extremism and fundamentalism from the region which the Pakistani rulers have planted for Pashtun to show them as cannibals and intolerant people to the world, otherwise the case is different from what the Pakistani rulers are presenting .Pashtun/Afghans are basically secular people but their nature has not been understood .They are sandwiched between two forces. They are not heard and the world believes what the crooks tell them .It is of course a pity .Mullah and military are one soul and one body. Both have the same agenda. The present situations are the drama of friendly fire between them. The centers of terrorists are in Punjab and the bullet is fired upon the poor Pashtun and his innocent children and women are intentionally targeted. This is the crime of the Pakistani establishment and ISI who still support fundamentalism and extremism in region because they understand that without these things their existence is not possible. Until and until the sources of terrorism are closed the peace can not come to the region. Pakistani is firing upon the Pashtun just to get 1 billion $. But they should know that Americans are not children who will not understand the childish tactics of this pro- fundamentalist forces .For the last 30 years Pashtun code has been broken by the Pakistani establishment for her nefarious designs to seize Afghanistan through clergy and Islamic forces. Now to restore the Pashtun code will take some time. The fundamentalist and terrorists being nurtured by the anti- Pashtun hidden hands are given safe sanctuaries in FATA and other Pashtun areas. They are the noble souls for Pakistani rulers and are held in high esteem as guests .Whenever there is bombardment they are not harmed as they get first hand information to hide and protect them. These terrorists are used to disturb the peace and tranquility in Afghanistan and to frighten the allied forces under the American command to flee from Afghanistan as the pro- fundamentalist forces anticipate that one day the Americans will leave Afghanistan and they (pro-terrorists) will take the control of the Kabul once again which I think their dream will never be materialized. Americans and allied forces should understand it that today Kabul is weak and crocodiles and wolves are all around. In case, the warring factions will again start their fighting’s and terrorists will not stop there. They will ,may God forbid, reach the capitals of Europe and America where they will not leave the innocent citizens to live in peace and prosperity .Punjabis know Pashtun living both sides of the Durand line are one and same nation. When one part is disturbed the other will feel the warmth. Pashtun are being tipped as terrorists under a pre-planned conspiracy hatched against them by hostile forces. They are punished by the Pakistani real establishment as Pashtun are supporting the reconstruction and stability of Afghanistan , which the rulers of Pakistan can not endure to see. When Pakistan sees the bad and hard time for her then Pashtun are used as a shield to defend her but she should understand that this deception will be exposed very soon .The present bombardment in Waziristan is the example which could be cited , When anti- Pashtun and pro- terrorist forces are clearly and loudly supporting the terrorists. When a soldier of the allied forces is martyred in Afghanistan as to who will be held responsible for his martyrdom who has come to Afghanistan to let prevail stability there and establish peace and to gear up reconstruction process in that country of Pashtun/Afghans .Those who say that the Tribal are providing safe sanctuaries to terrorists are not aware of the real political situations of the area. Actually FATA has a political system which is run by the Political Agents. Here people are not allowed to do politics. Politics is the life line for a human being. When an individual has no basic human rights then how can he will be able to tell the high-ups of ISI and Pakistani establishment not to bring terrorists to their areas .Tribal Pashtuns are faced with very critical situations. They do not know where to go and what to do? Few suggestions are put forwards to be heeded:

1-Pashtuns should be brought closer rather fighting against them
2-Pakistani establishment should be pressurized to stop assassination of the Pashtun tribal and political traditional leadership which paves the way for terrorists and fundamentalists to fill the vaccum.
3-In FATA and other settled areas influential/Political people should be taken into confidence.
4-Pakistani establishment/ISI should not be blindly followed who have been telling a lie about the Pashtun to the west and America .
5-West and Americans should realize that Pashtuns are human being and know how to deal with the foes and friends.
6-Pashtuns are secular people. They should be made friends .If Supply line is disconnected, Arabs are advised not to send money to the fundamentalist clergy and their supporters who are continuing constructing seminaries where the young are got admitted unaware of the modern day necessities and knowledge.
7-Pashtuns areas/Tribal should be developed. Schools, colleges, roads, hospitals should be set-up and employment opportunities be created
8-Youth are going to Jihadi organizations by the support of so-called ISI and extremist clergy .For this purpose political parties act should be extended to the FATA and political parties be allowed to do politics in those areas .In this way, fundamentalist and extremist tendencies will come to an end while tolerance, democracy and enlightenment will prevail.
9-FCR and other inhuman laws from FATA should be abolished as we think that this is an insult of the Pashtun in 21st century .FATA is being used against Afghanistan as was used against former USSR two decades ago. But this should be understood that Pashtun and their areas are burning while they do not know as to where they should go because we are not the part of the game which is being played on the name of religion on the land of the Pashtuns. This should also be kept in mind that Pashtuns are not against Afghanistan as they consider Afghanistan their own home and understand that allied forces stationed in Afghanistan have been fighting to save the history, language, geography, and culture of the Pashtun /Afghan which were to be diminished by the enemies few years ago. Pashtuns want to see a stable,democratic and prosperous Afghanistan as they know that their future is tied with the stability of the Afghanistan .
10-Americans and allied forces should not pullout the forces from Afghanistan . Because Afghanistan still needs them and the region as well. If the foreign troops leave Afghanistan , there again will start a war like situation where terrorists, their supporters and promoters will seize the Kabul once again and the West and Americans including the region of Pashtun will see a deluge of the terrorism which they will not even think. The capitals of these countries will be targeted by the terrorists and the blood of the innocent citizens will flow (May God forbid).Kabul will also be seized by the enemies of the Pashtun/Afghan who have been dreaming to occupy it since long but thanks to Americans and allied forces which thwarted their nefarious designs and saved Pashtuns from annihilation by the enemies.
11-To strengthen the traditional/Political leadership in tribal/Pashtun areas will yield valuables dividends. Pashtuns are the victims of the extremism in region. Talibanisation is a great threat to their identity and culture. Extremist and obscurantist forces should not be allowed to suppress progressive nationalist and secular leaders and people who seek enlightened moderation, traditional values and secular rule.
12-Tribal/Pashtun elders and civic institution should be provided effective resources to strengthen civil society and empower moderate political parties and groups.
13-Durand line should not be closed for people as both sides are one people/Nations and this is a global trend to open borders and break-down boundaries
14-Terrorists should be isolated, not the tribes and communities. US should help solidifying the basis for long term peace, stability and development in the region
15-Americans should not repeat the blunder what the former USSR had committed in region.
Let me conclude with the following lines from a Nazi victim,

Now the Pashtun Nation will have to seriously ponder over the political situations in their region as we anticipate that a very dangerous situations are ahead as we Pashtun will try our best to remove the stigma of terrorism and extremism from us and show the civilized world that we are neither terrorists nor fundamentalists and nor the supporters of the said negative forces .We are the people who know better how to go along side of the world.

Students in militancy hit areas are not going to schools

It is reported that children in Swat,Shangla and Waziristan are not going to schools and colleges due to unrest and political uncertain situations in said areas of Pashtunkhwa.All students and their parents are scared to go out of their houses due to worst security problems.schools and colleges are also closed for the last several months. parents and relatives of the students are worried about the future of their children. .In such uncertain situations the most vulnerable people are children and women who are badly affected due to indiscriminate bombardment and curfew .the future of the children of the pashtuns seems to be dark. Due to the wrong anti-pashtun policies of the establishment of pakistan, the future of the pashtun nation as a whole is at stake. mulla and military both are responsible for producing terrorists, extremists and obscurrentist forces and the promotion of these negative elements is the aim and objectiv of the said mulla-military. Both conspire to let pashtun children lag behind the ornament of eduction and they want to see them going towards extremism and fundamentalism which are suitable terms for the clergy and military in the region and serve their purpose. uneducated and ignorant pashtun could be easily deceived and used as compared to one who is educated and literate. The ignorant people are told that the foreign troops have occupied Afghanistan, go there and and fight against them as it is a Jehad (Holy War).But we Pashtun term it as baseless,groundless and a pack of lies.Foreign troops have come to Afghanistan as the saviour of the Pashtun/Afghans who protected our culture,language,history and national identity which were at extinct by the negative and anti-pashtun/Afghan forces in the region.The foreign forces have come behind terrorists and their staunch promoters who now pretend to have termed against them but in reality the support is still there.We hope that foreign troops in kabul will teach a lesson to those who have been supporting the terrorists since long sitting miles away from Durand line.But foreign troops should not do such acts which will go against Pashtun /Afghans.International community should take the matter of the pashtun/Afghan students espacially girls very serious as the closure of the educational institutions in Pashtun areas will help in breeding extremism and fundamentalism in region which will not be only a threat to the region but will create problems for the entire peaceful world as well.The uneducated youth will be got addmitted in religious seminaries where they are thought what goes against the future of the Pashtun/Afghan people and civilised world.Pashtun need education,health facilities,sanitation and good life particularly in FATA.Pashtun do not like extremism and fundamentalism which darken their future and turn them against the civilised nature of the world.The attitudes of our youth will become democratic and tolerant when provided with good education.Positive and saneful people should be taken into confidence among Pashtun/Afghans who wish to see Pashtun youth tolerant,democratic and educated to walk side by side with modern world.

Zalmay Khalil zad and biased writers

There are a large number of writers in Pakistan who are not tired while writing against Afghanistan and those who wish peace, stability and property in that war-ravaged country. Sometimes back a local newspaper publishes from metropolitan Peshawar carried a story where American ambassador to Kabul His Excellency Zalmay khalil zad was alleged to have spoken against the negative role of Islamabad foreign policy towards Afghanistan. The language used in the said writing was absolutely inhuman, unethical and contrary to decency.
Such anti-Afghan writings and apolitical approach of the biased writers in Pakistan put me in trouble as I am a pashtun nationalist who dares Afghanistan and honor all those who long for the peace, stability prosperity and development of Afghanistan .We discussed the same writing in the meeting of pakhtun democratic council , a political organization struggling for the rights of Pukhtun/Afghans living everywhere in the world. Almost all the participants slated such unethical remarks and strongly condemned what the daily had published. On the insistence of the participants of the council, a rejoinder was prepared and taken to the office of daily. But sorry to say that our reply never got a space to be published. The writer had penned that ex-American ambassador Zalmay khlil zad was a persona non- grata and when he speaks against Pakistan that’s poisonous. He stings like scorpion and bites like snakes. But the poor writer could not understand that Zalmay khlil zad was an honorable ambassador of US to Kabul. He was not like a poor common Afghan who had migrated to Pakistan where insulted and disgraced. He was the envoy of a country which saved the Afghans and Afghanistan from a dangerous monster which was prepared to swallow up them all along with their geography ,politics ,culture and history and were trying to mutilate them.
One should not wonder as to what I mean? The real monsters were terrorists who were nurtured and promoted by the enemies of the Pashtun and Afghanistan who wanted to hoist their flag on Kabul and capture it with force for the ulterior motives unaware of their disgraceful retreat and destroying their investment. Thanks to those who boldly fought against evil forces and got Afghanistan once again which was lost. Those forces martyred for the defense of the Afghans and Afghanistan is great and their services will be remembered. All the foreign countries which have landed their forces in Afghanistan wish to see a stable and developed and democratic Afghanistan. It is expected that Americans and allies want to make that country a democratic welfare and model state in Asia. We are optimist, but at same time we should also not forget that Afghanistan have enemies also, who can not tolerate to see a stable, democratic and prosperous Afghanistan. They create disturbance there. They use the propaganda that Afghanistan has foreign forces which have held Afghanistan just to play with the sentiments of the Pashto on across the Durand line. Pashtoon know it well that foreign troops have come to save Afghanistan. When there were no foreign troops in Afghanistan, what were the situations? One was fighting against other and if today foreign troops declare to withdraw from Afghanistan, the same even worst situations will happen. The enemies of Afghanistan will try to seize Afghanistan and will declare that Kabul belongs to them and no power on the earth will be able to get it back from the extremists and their promoters. Pashtun/Afghan should take it very serious as this is ultimately our problem for our survival. Americans and Europeans should understand that terrorists will not leave them in their countries and capitals and their innocent souls will become preys for the crime which they have not committed if they think to leave Afghanistan at these critical times. European and Americans should take the propaganda of the enemies of Afghanistan in lighter vein as the people have seen cruelties and barbarism of the so-called clerics. People want peace, democracy, and development. They do not like terrorists and extremists to rule them. Those who cry for the withdrawal of the forces have their own agenda and for this purpose they have hired the propagandists among Punjabi pseudo writers and so called intellectuals who are myopic and short sighted. When ISAF forces came to Afghanistan the investment of a certain country in the from of the Taliban drowned. The retreated fundamentalist forces were provided the safe sanctuaries in the mountain areas situated near the Durand line known as FATA with the hope that very soon Americans would leave Afghanistan and they once again would get them landed in Kabul. When they came to know that America sent its forces to Iraq to fight there against Saddam Hussain, so once again the rival forces started instigating the insurgents to keep their intervention in Afghanistan and tease the foreign troops to leave that country. The establishment of Pakistan sitting in Islamabad intentionally made an atmosphere in pashtun areas where JUI and its component parties including Jumati Islami and other Islamic outfits were voted to power. Nationalists ,progressive and democratic political forces were discouraged and defeated at the same time as they needed the clerical fundamentalist forces in tribal areas where they could hide their retreated forces in tribal areas and in some settled areas of the pashtun . This entire cooked drama was prepared for just an attempt to intervene in Afghanistan and they have a supportive Govt in the backdrop, in simple words the establishment of Pakistan brought those Mullas in two provinces to support the extremist forces. Zalmay khalil zad was right to say that terrorists cross over Durand line and disturb peace in Afghanistan. Here question arises that weapons of USSR era in Afghanistan have finished, now it’s to be thought where this does this weapon come from? And who help to bring it? And the entire game is near the Durand line? It is claimed that Pashtun are doing it. No, never Pashtuns area is being used . One should think that the Pashtuns living in Qundoos, a province in the north of Afghanistan are not fighting why? Only those areas which are attached with Pakistan are engaged in fighting.
Zalmay khalik zad is aware of the drama because he had the knowledge of the region. It was a pride for entire Afghanistan and Pashtun that zalmay was an ambassador for America. This is of course very interesting for us all. . Now it is up to Pashtun to foil the conspiracy of the clever enemy and get salvation of their intricacies. ? It was also written in that write-up that Afghanistan was not an important country. I think the writer was a mad person. Afghanistan was founded in 1747 by great Ahmad shah Baba while Pakistan of Jinnah came into the being in 1947, Which means that both have an age difference of 200 years. This is the same Afghanistan due to which Pakistan was saved at the cost of destruction of former. This is the same Afghanistan due to which many generals of Pakistan became so rich that their accumulated wealth will be enough for their coming seven generations. Americans are requested to send back zalmay khalilzad to Kabul as ambassador as he talks honestly and knows the conspiracies of the conspirators but this is hard for them. One should understand that lies have no feet to stand upon and facts are forever facts.

American drones and future of region

American drones are said to have hit the Bannu district of pakhtunkhwa province this time meaning that strikes by the American drones against alleged terrorists have entered settled areas from FATA. When Americans and allied forces came to Kabul in 2001 after the world trade center and pentagon were hit by the alleged terrorists. The then erstwhile rulers of the Kabul Taliban and Arab militants left Kabul and took shelter in the mountainous areas near Durand line in FATA. General Musharraf then president of Pakistan hit a deal with Americans to get more than 13 billion dollars to fight against extremist forces in FATA and wipe them out. Americans are said to be very wise people but they were apparently deceived by the military ruler. Americans were standing firmly behind the dictator who was friendly with the militants and more antagonistic against Pashtun people. It is on the record that the Pakistani generals used to tell during the quagmire of the then East Pakistan and now an independent country with name of Bangladesh, they needed the land not Bengalis, who were the real masters of their land and proved that ultimately they triumphed. Similarly General Musharraf also followed his predecessors and came hard on the Pashtun and mercilessly assassinated the influential people of the Pashtun in FATA including political activists, Maliks and anti- extremist tribal chiefs who thought that Musharraf and his cronies were really fighting terrorists but actually the situations were not as they thought to be and lost their lives. In oct.2002 a general election was held in which clergy was voted to win as the clergy was needed by the establishment of Pakistan under the rule of Musharraf. Religious parties in Pashtunkhwa and Baluchistan in their five years tenure did the best for the Pakistani establishment and Punjabi dominated civil and military bureaucracy who have always gone against Pashtun and Afghanistan. Extremist forces prepared themselves and when the Americans went to Iraq then once again they came out from their caves and started their subversive activities. Pashtun in FATA and settled areas were started beheaded and their houses looted and forced to leave their houses and villages. Today almost all people from FATA have left their homes in FATA and have come to relatively safer places in Peshawar and some of them are said to have gone to Afghanistan. The aim of the establishment was to get dollars from American on one hand and to show to the world that Pashtun nation is fundamentalist and pro extremist. This version of Pakistan was incorrect and biased against Pashtun people and it is evident from the past seven years record of the alliance with Americans against extremist forces that it badly failed and did nothing against the extremists rather they got stronger in FATA and other pashtun areas in province. Pashtun intellectuals and political people when and where got opportunity they have spoken the truth about all what was going on but the concerned people took it deaf ears and did not weigh what was said by the pashtun. Blind follow is not the good exercise. It wastes resources and time and inaccurate decisions take the people far away. Mulla and military joined hands to disgrace pashtun and put American in quagmire and keep Afghanistan disturbed as nationalism for Pakistan near Durand line is a forbidden tree as she is afraid that pashtun national unity will be disastrous for them. When American realized that they had also committed mistakes during their previous decisions. When the guests of Pakistani establishment came to know that further stay for them in FATA was difficult then most of them started coming to the settled areas and this is the reason that today the settled areas are being targeted and the incident of Bannu is the fresh case. If Pakistani establishment still keep continued what the Qazi Hussain, Imran khan ,Fazal Rahman and other leaders of the militant groups including PML(N) and other right wing and conservative parties and individual say then further worst time will be waiting for Pakistan.

Militants in Swat had threatened to schools to halt girls’ education by January 15 and in case of non- compliance of the order, the Schools would be bombed and demolished. When the students of Swat heard it both they and their parents fell in to shock and could express nothing except just looking at each other in a state of despair and sheer disappointment. They understand it that their future went bleak and dark. People living in Swat do understand that they are Muslims and Muslims know it that seeking education in Religion Islam is obligatory for both male and female alike and that’s the reason that the inhabitants of Swat let their children go to schools to obey the commandment of the prophet of Islam. But the militants in Swat are blind enough to the extent that they do not obey what their religion teaches them and obey all what is instructed by the promoters of the terrorists and enemies of the Pashtun /Afghan Nation. Militants claim that sending girls to schools is un-Islamic. We have said time and again that militants and military are one and the same and it is evident from the statement of a Punjabi – Pakistani foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Islamabad before media that militants fighting in swat and FATA against Pashtun are the patriotic Pakistanis. This one statement is enough that who are behind terrorists in Pashtun region. When militants are patriotic then Pashtun reserve the right to ask about all the destruction going on in Pashtun area as to who are responsible for the miseries of the Pashtun? The answer is simple and clear cut that only and only Punjabis are to be held responsible for the killing of Pashtun Mashran, political workers, journalists, tribal chiefs ,Children, women and youth on the hands of Taliban and Army which we consider one and the same. The former is working for the enemies, nefarious designs against Pashtun and Afghanistan while the latter is engaged fighting for the sake of getting dollars as they have no duty to perform. I would like to make it clear that we are not against the operation in our regions against terrorists but we do understand that it is a proxy and the ongoing operation is not meant against elimination of the terrorists rather it could be called as a friendly fire between militants and military. Since childhood we hear that Pakistan has a force which is inconvincible. Now we observe that the same Army is present in Swat and FATA to fight against terrorists but till this day we are unable to hear that they have captured the known terrorists and it further consolidated our thinking that today militants in Swat ordered to halt the girls’ schools. In the presence of more than 50000 forces how is it possible that a mullah will rise and issue what he wishes. I think that there are only one or two small roads leading towards Swat valley. If they are closed the entire drama could be brought to an end. This task can be performed by only two soldiers .If Pakistani Army is unable to eliminate the so called terrorists then they should voluntarily accept it and leave the brave Yousafzai Pashtun to set their home. All patriotic Pashtun in Swat and FATA should be armed and be backed by both Provincial govt. and international community and Pakistan will have no interference as this country could not set it for last several years. This problem could be solved in just few days but on the condition that Army will leave the area as people have lost confidence in it. We also request the federal govt of Pakistan and the Punjabi establishment to take their guests back their home Punjab and leave Pashtun at their own to set their home right. We understand it when Americans came to Kabul the terrorists were defeated there and were forced to flee and they were provided shelter by the friends of militants in the entire Pakistan. They were asked to remain dormant and go to hibernation for a while as the Bush was threatening the then Iraq president Saddam Hussain at that time and as Americans entangled there then the militants started coming out of their hide outs and set their sojourn towards Afghanistan to fight the ISAF and NATO forces. When Pakistan realized that Americans would not stop in Afghanistan and would move towards the areas administered by Pakistan then she started a civil war like situations in FATA and other Pashtun areas like Swat etc. Punjabis want to save Islamabad and Punjab from the Americans and NATO forces and that’s, the reason that today we see fire all around in Pashtun region as the Punjabis want to keep Americans busy in Pashtun Watan and do not let Americans come closer to them and to keep them engaged in the areas of Pashtun. In such circumstances on one hand they will get dollars and save Punjab and Islamabad while on other Pashtun and Americans will have to engage as I think both should ponder over and analyze the real situations and know who the real enemy has been working behind the scene? .The present scenario is destructive for Pashtun nation as the militants want to take us to the darkness of stone age and turn our nation towards ignorance which is not acceptable to us all. I would like to ask the international community as to why they came to Kabul and behind whom? Definitely they came behind terrorists in Afghanistan. When the same people are present in lower Pashtunkhwa why the international community is silent? .Our schools are demolished, bridged are bombed, political workers are assassinated, journalists are tortured, girls are halted to go to schools and the entire infrastructure was destroyed even the dead bodies were exhumed out of the graves and put on gallows in chowkes in front of the entire free world. All the government institutions were badly failed to control the destructive situations and save Pashtun nation from elimination. Now the international community should realize the situations and help Pashtun to save the future of their children from the darkness of the ignorance and to help create opportunities to enlighten their children with the candles of the modern day education so that this nation could walk side by side with the civilized world. The Punjabis stage protests and demonstrations against the bombardments of Israelis on the Palestine while they have never come out to mourn the destruction of the Pashtun which indicates their involvement in war in Pashtun area and their support for the militants and military alike.

Militancy in Pashtunkhwa and repercussions

Some times back J1 Ameer Qazi Hussian Ahmad staged a protest demonstration in Khyber Bazar Peshawar and demanded of the government to halt supply to NATO in Afghanistan. His party men and other activists proudly and foolishly proclaimed that they had started a campaign which would create hindrances for the forces stationed in Afghanistan which have perched there under the resolution of UN. One wonders as to why Jumat-i-Islami got impetus these days to stop supply line though they were the masters of gold and silver only a year time ago in this province of Pashtun but they kept mum by the time and the supply was smoothly going on and there was neither religion involved nor any other harm but now they realized it to be against the religion which they exploit and mislead the innocent souls on the name of religion. There are reports that US military sends 75% of supplies to Afghanistan through, Khyber Pass, includes 40% of the fuel for its troops. NATO and Russia signed a land transit agreement in April last year allowing alliance to use Russian land to deliver non-lethal supplies to troops; in Afghanistan.

On Thursday feb.5, 2009 Tehrik-e-Taliban spokesman Molvi Omar warned that TTP would accelerate its attacks on NATO containers if the supply was not stopped from Pakistan to Afghanistan.

On the same day Taliban claimed responsibility for torching 12 NATO supplies containers and blowing up a bridge in Khyber Agency.

An operation “Darghlam” was initiated by security forces in Khyber Agency few days back where Several hundred houses of the people were demolished who were alleged to have kept the insurgents but it was alleged that a single terrorist was neither arrested nor killed in the operation only the general public came under the wrath of the security forces of Pakistan who are supposed to defend the people targeted them and left the actual stuff who are considered their own loyal lots and blue -eyed loving boys.

The insurgents fled away from the scenes and hid somewhere at a short distance of the road side, meaning out of sight, out of mind. The insurgents took no casualty and remained safe and sound as such insurgents are needed for next rounds which are prepared by the high ups sitting in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

In pushto language, Darghlam means “I am coming”. This is a warning before one comes. It is simple that the insurgent are advised in early to hide somewhere in mountains or at least keep themselves away for a short while. So there are loopholes in the operation. This is half-hearted methodology. It lacks sincerity and commitment. Still the insurgents are roaming freely and can do any thing wrong they wish to do. They blow bridges. Destroy and torch schools. Halt supply lines. They hurled threats to all and sundry. Chief of the insurgents in Khyber Agency FATA, Mangal Bagh is freely moving from place to place. Even in the suburb of Peshawar he calls people to Bara, Khyber Agency and gives them punishment if found guilty as he thinks. Most of the people take their cases to him and he has his own style of lslamic courts.. Here I am not talking of the Khyber Agency. He has accelerated his efforts to establish himself in Peshawar, district. His men came to a village Bazid Khel, Badaber, Peshawar last morning to get a man hand cuffed from there to Khyber Agency who was alleged to be involved in a crime, (Badaber is a town where the Americans had established a camp in late 50s for the surveillance of the former Russian states through U2). The supporters of the UC Nazim and the militants started firing each other. People of the surrounding villages came flocking with the guns and Kalashnikovs and killed all the 9, militants on the spot. Local police also came for the help of the villagers against terrorists. Later on the dead bodies of the militants were handed over to the political administration of Khyber Agency who gave them to Mangal group of extremists. On his FM radio Mangal Bagh condemned this incidence saying all the killed were martyrs in the way of God and those who killed them were called as killers. He threatened them with stern consequences. He asked the people of the concerned villages to hoist black-flags on their houses to commemorate the martyrs sacrifice.(His own version). Here all the three members of the Provincial Assembly of Pakhtunkhwa namely khushdal khan Advocate, Deputy speaker Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Saqibullah Khan Chamkani and Alamgir khan Khalil thronged to the Hujra of Nazim Fahim Khan and assured their all out assistance, to combat insurgents in the area. Deputy Speaker demanded of governor to take action against Mangal Bagh within 2 weeks otherwise people of the area themselves would devise strategy against religious militants. Khalil and Mohmand tribes deiced to get united against militants. It is worth mentioning here that when Pashtun were disgraced and humiliated by the Mughal rulers of India, Aimal khan Mahmand was the first man who took the sword and started fighting against the enemies of the Pashtun nation. Today when all the Pashtun are fed up with the enemies or the Agents of the enemies once again the sons of Aimal khan Mahmand rose up to defend the Pashtun nation. Here I would call upon other Pashtun tribes to rise against enemies and their purchased Agents and save Pashtun women, girls and children from the dark future and genocide initiated by the Punjabis like Mughals in late 17 century .Here I come to my concerned topic again to mention the actual story of the militants and villagers. All the threats by the militants were taken deaf ear and the brave villagers of Mahmand and Khalil tribes warned if the militants were not controlled by the incumbent governor then they are ready to fight against the extremists in their centers which are located in FATA by the friends of the terrorists not with the consent of the common tribal people as the tribal Pashtun have also been made as hostage. In Pukhtunkhwa (, Province, FATA + PATA) dogs are free while stones are tied. Militants have free hand to move anywhere and they can do everything they want. There is no writ of the government. But at the same time, the security agencies are either unable to control the militants or they are afraid themselves or intentionally have been given free hand. People who are averse to the interpretation of the militants are lifted from the roads, houses and offices in the broad day light and then their life is in the hands of the militants. Women, children old and young all people in Pukhtunkhwa are suffering from tension 24 hours and they have the thoughts for the safety of life. No one knows whether he will come back or not if goes to city. There are reports that there are more than 30 thousands militants armed in Peshawar city alone and what to say of the rural areas where there is a mashroom growth of the religious seminaries working 24 hours. Bajour, Mahmand, Orakzai, North and South Waziristan, Swat, Tank, Bannu, D.I.Khan and Peshawar are in the full control of Taliban. It is claimed loudly by the establishment of Pakistan that her armed forces are engaged fighting against terrorists but the actual picture is some what different as the common people have come too realized from their practical experiences and miseries that military and militants are same and only innocent Pashtun are targeted by both. All most all Pashtun are ready to call UN peace forces to the region and trust on Pakistani security forces does not exist any more.

The establishment of Pakistan broke the Pashtun Code. There is imminent danger that one tribe will fight against other and this will yield dangerous results. This enmity will last for decades. Pashtun nation will be destroyed. Pashtuns think that Punjabi needs their land. Punjabi Generals were heard in 1971, saying that they needed land not people of Bangladesh. Doctors, Engineers, Students, Teachers, Political Workers, and intellectuals of the Bengalis were murdered. On December 15, 1971, the Pakistani security forces said that they were wining but only one day after it on December 16, 1971 the army surrendered and badly defeated. Bangladesh was created and two nations theory was drowned in Arabian Sea. The Pakistan of Jinnah was broken in to 2 parts and the foundation of nazria Pakistan was laid by Genral Sher Ali in 1971. In Bangladesh militants Al-Shams and Al-Bader were the colleagues of Pakistan army who were fighting side by side against the people of Bangladesh more than 3 million Bengalis were butcherd. More than 5 lacks women were raped. These Punjabis fought in Afghanistan where they destroyed that country and wanted to make it as its fifth province. Punjabis broke the Pushtun Code to fulfill their dreams come true. Pakistan’s economy is a war economy. In Afghanistan it earned dollars through promoting militancy and supporting extremists. When Americans landed in Afghanistan in 2001 the Punjabis started war in pushtun region this side of Durand line to get dollars and create problems for the allied forces in Afghanistan. Punjabis want to earn dollars on one hand and on other it tries to engage Americans with pushtoon. Pushtoons are taught that Americans are non-Muslims and fighting jihad against them is obligatory. A factory is established in Punjab while mosque and seminary is setup in Pukhtunkhwa. Almost all the pushtun have migrated to comparatively safer places. Now in swat and FATA there are only military and militants who are one and the same. Both are sweet and loving friends. Talib is not killed. Only the innocents are targeted. The people left their homes. Now the game is going to be matured and the militants are coming to Peshawar and in surrounding area where the pseudo operation will start. People will suffer and militants will have free hand to do what they want and wish. Punjabis should remember and get lesson from the Bengalis when military and militants both fought against Bengalis the victory was for Bengalis and defeat was written in the fate of the military and militants both. Banning routes of Pashtun, assassinating their Mashran, demolishing the schools of their children, forcing them to either leave their homes or going to the camps of extremists who are fighting for the benefit of Punjabis as Agents, and other atrocities by the hands of the anti-Pashtun forces are unacceptable any more.. We do not need such Pakistan which is going to be protected on the heads, blood , debris of the walls and rooms, demolition of children schools and sacrifices of Pashtun nation.

This was shocking news to hear that terrorists and miscreants bombed the holy tomb of the Pashto language greatest mystic poet Rehman Baba situated in Hazar khwani village of Mahmand tribe of Pashtun/Afghan in the south of Peshawar city.. It was about 5pm when my eyes suddenly opened due to a big bang of the explosion. It does not mean that I was lying near to the site where this unfortunate incident occurred, but actually the intensity of the explosion was so severe that it shook the suburb of the Peshawar city and the sound could be heard at a distance of more than 8-9 kilometers in radius of Peshawar from the shrine of Rehman Baba. This was further shocking when I was called by one of friends in morning that the big bang we heard in dawn was of the terrorist explosion went off in the mausoleum of Baba. This unfortunate tragic news saddened me a lot and immediately thought that miscreants who committed this heinous crime could not be named as Pashtun, Muslims and human being. Such unlucky and mean terrorists committed a crime which could not be pardoned at any cost. Rehman baba is a mystic poet of Pashto language who preached love, humanity and fraternity in the world. He taught people to spread message of peace and humanity. He asks people to learn to be human being. Pashtun/Afghan all over the world shows him great respect and reverence and there is no single Pashtun who will oppose him. He is a person who has no enmity with no one and he is respected by all and sundry alike. Baba in Pashto language is one who is the most dignified personality among the Pashtun/Afghan and Rehman baba comes at the top of such list of the Pashtun. Besides, Khushal Baba, Mirwais neeka (Baba) and Ahmad shah baba are the dignified and greatest personalities of the Pashtun/Afghan nation. These are the persons who have made place in the hearts of Pashtun and have made the history. Any one dares to show disrespect to the said personality’s means that he/she invites wrath and rage of the Pashtun/Afghan. The unfortunate incident happened to the grave of Rehman baba caused great unrest and angered Pashtun / Afghan and his followers. This is intolerable. Pashtun show respect to the graves of the people and wish other to respond in same manner. Bombing tomb of Rehman baba means a clear declaration of war against Pashtun/Afghan. Pashtun are being burnt in fire for last 30 years in fire. Their houses destroyed, schools and colleges demolished, hospitals ruined, roads and entire infrastructure bombed and made debris. Pashtun children were made ignorant and illiterate.. The purpose behind was to get this nation forget its past history, its culture, its language, its leaders, its politicians, its Mashran, its religious entities, its poets, its heroes, its brave deeds, its land and national cohesion and Unity. This is our past and we are proud of it. We are proud of our history, culture, language, geography, poets, politicians and their brave deeds and never repent what our elders have done. For last 30 years on one pretence or other Pashtun/Afghan have been forced to forget their history and leave their culture and adopt the orthodox and fundamental type of dogmatic belief which has no relation with religion Islam rather it is a particular belief of Arabs. This exercise is being practiced by some misled and strayed minds and wish to destroy all what shows a little bit difference with their particular kind of dogma. People need to show tolerance and endurance. Every one should have to have a courage and steadfastness to stand boldly and face this storm which has been hitting the heads of Pashtun since long. But unfortunately such inhuman deeds are being performed by the state agencies and support these for the ulterior motives under a well cooked conspiracy to defame the Pashtun nation for being named as terrorists. The culture of Pashtun is at stake. Pashtun singers/Artistes are kidnapped by militants and get released on the condition that they will be bound to go to Lahore, a city of Punjab where they will have to spend 120 days in Tableegh(A preaching Islamic religious group of Lahore brand ). Among them who is unwilling to go to Lahore then he/she is intimidated to the extent that leaves the country and settles abroad. One who sings for Pashtun, he is punished and orders him to forsake singing? When poets and singers are disrespected and discouraged how language and literature will be promoted. This will destroy the Pashtun/Afghan nation. All Pashtun intellectuals, Poets, Politicians, Literary minds, students, teachers, Journalists and Pashtun belonging to all walks of life should have to wake up from deep slumber to protect their past, brighten the present and leave good for future posterity.

Pashtun nation once again bled by the hands of terrorists who committed suicide attack on a mosque in Jamrud, Khyber Agency FATA in which more than 100 innocent Pashtun martyred while more than 150 were serious wounded. This is an other declaration of war against Pashtun nation when their worship place was attacked after the explosion at the shrine of great Pashtun/Afghan poet Rehman baba which was targeted by the terrorists few days ago. Pashtun ,s blood has turned cheaper than water in the area administered by the Pakistan. The terrorist attack at the mosque in Jamrud, FATA happened at a time when the American President Obama was preparing to announce a new Afghanistan-Pakistan strategy. This is not unclear these days as to who are the masters minds behind these militants who commit such heinous crimes against Pashtun and only Pashtun in their thinking are the bad people. It is inhuman and a declaration of war against this nation. Americans claim that they spent more than 14 billion of dollars to eradicate terrorism from the region but one wonders to see that today terrorist activities have further increased. What this drama is with Pashtun from both sides of Americans and Pakistan. Both have sworn to keep continued the genocide of Pashtun which is inhuman and against the international law. We are above all human beings and we have also right to live on this planet. Obama speech against eradication of terrorism from region is a welcome step but who will make him understand that as to who are behind the genocide of Pashtun? New york times and almost all American and foreign newspapers frequently write about the sources and promoters of terrorism but it seems that Americans including Mr .Obama has closed eyes over the facts and now Pashtun are realizing that those who have become champions to erase terrorism from the world either do not understand the situations realistically or are afraid of the terrorists and their mentors. Obama has changed his way from Peshawar to Russia for supply of the goods for NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan due to fear of the militants who torch their trucks and bomb them at roads. Are Americans and NATO allies are weak to the extent that they can not protect their own vehicles and what to say that they will protect Pashtun from the terrorism of the terrorists and the wrath of their mentors who have been using them against Pashtun who are afraid that one day may be Pashtun revolt and demand for their historic home Afghanistan. But one should be clear enough that if such brutalities against Pashtun continue then the journey which is meant for years will come to an end in few moments and days. International community should open eyes in favor of Pashtun nation which the failed state of Pakistan has been using for the ulterior motives which for it is not possible to achieve. Mere declaration of war against terrorism is not enough. This is an eye wash and will be unable to yield positive results. Pashtun will be bleeding and international community will be mere spectator. Pashtun once again demand of the Secretary General UN, President Obama, European Union, OIC, African Union, SAARC, ASEAN, Human Rights bodies around the world to raise the issue of the genocide of Pashtun nation in Pakistan by the militants and their known mentors who are well known for the bloody game on the name of cult and religion and who are unable to provide youth job opportunities , ease the life of people, minimize the miseries and provide cheaper food to the citizens rather put them to death by the terrorists and in some cases commit this crime themselves which the world knows well.

Peshawar: There are reports that Taliban militants have shaved four young men for listening to music in Buner, An area of Yousafzai Pashtun adjacent with the restive Swat of Pashtunkhwa. When secular ANP signed a peace treaty with the Sufi Muhammad of TNSM , which is mass front of Taliban militants and Sufi himself is the father in law of the Chief of militants in Swat Fazlullah and he had taken more than 10000 men to Afghanistan to fight against the international community there who had come to wipe up the militants Taliban from there after the America was targeted in 2001. Most of his men were either slaughtered or perished on the way but interestingly Sufi and his few clever colleagues found the way out and appeared in Kurram Agency from where they were taken to Dera Ismail Khan and he remained ther for few years waiting that Pashtun would soon forget their sentimental kins and kiths butchered by the said man. When he was needed by the establishment in 2008 then he was released and a new role was assigned to him to add to problems of the innocent Pashtun. Now once again Pashtun in Malakand division are suffered due to this man but sorry to say that this time secular ANP joined hands with him for unknown reasons. Here are few simple questions in my mind and many like me will have the same in their minds if probed. Why International community is silent over the atrocities perpetrated on innocent pashtun by both military and militants alike? What were the factors that international community perched in Afghanistan? Who were the rulers by the tome when international community stepped in Afghanistan? What were the situations at that time? What was the condition when the Taliban were rulers in Kabul? What were the conditions of women by the time? The answer is simple and almost all know it well. Hands are chopped off, innocent people are beheaded. Women especially girls less than 17-years are flogged in open by the terrorists. The punishment is given by male and spectators are all men. Punishment is given when an innocent girl says no , when a terrorist asks for her hand. Punjabi politicians are silent while their Pashtun partners have brought this menace on their heads. Who will ask for the honor of a pashtun girl. Punjabis raise hue and cry over the drone attacks but forget that they have made Arabs and other militants as guests without the consent of Pashtun. Pashtun nation has been made as a hostage today. One who dares to talk on behalf of the Pashtun people, and then he is dubbed as traitor and spy working for Americans in Afghanistan. Who do this heinous crime? Definitely we all know. Those who take dollars can not have courage to come directly against the Americans and they prepare other to come in front while the real people are standing behind. Those who know that very soon Afghanistan is going to be on track of prosperity and development and will be a modern democratic state in the entire Asia , can not bear to see this. They are bent upon to eliminate those whom they consider as a hurdle in their sinister play. They understand that 21st is the century of unification of nations and they want to abolish it from the mind of Pashtun/Afghan.

But this is not possible for them to finish the movement by killing and assassinating the Political and influential Pashtun.

We expect the dawn very soon which will bring the light, prosperity and development as we know that days of the darkness are numbered and atrocities will have to go for ever.

Executive Director Society for Rights and Development (SRD) Zar Ali Khan Musazai has condemned the illegal arrest of the Afghans in Peshawar and other parts of NWFP.

He said that Afghans are regularly arrested and tormented in Peshawar which is inhuman and this gesture of the provincial government and Police force will jeopardize the political atmosphere between two countries and People of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Peshawar Police has accelerated its campaign after the incidents of terrorism are on rise in metropolitan Peshawar but this is not the solution. When Police is unable to arrest the real culprits then it arrests the poor Afghans just to show its efficiency to control the crimes in its jurisdiction. Those police officials who are involved in such inhuman and anti-Afghan drive should immediately be stopped and concerned authority be directed not to do this criminal act of arresting the poor Afghans in Pakistan and especially Peshawar

The lack of legal status for Afghan refugees in Pakistan and NWFP has left them without any protection from harassment, extortion, and imprisonment by the Pakistani and NWFP Police. Stories of police harassment and extortion are very common among the Afghan refugees Some times Afghan refugees listening to radio or just walking on the pavement of the roads The police ask them for the papers and then take them into the police stations and hold them there.

Some times when the Afghans come to city to find a petty jobs for livelihood or sell some thing there like birds, vegetable etc. then they are demanded for the license or other documents which definitely they lack, then they are arrested and take them to the police stations.

When a refugee has not money to pay back to a police official in Peshawar or other parts of NWFP, he or she is beaten and charge under crimes and take to Police stations where they are intimidated and their rights are violated. Youth are suffered most and they are easily dociled to the intimidation of the brutality of Police. Such Afghan Youth who are arrested by Police are tortured brutally and most of the times they are molested and sexually assaulted by the cops.

Plights of FATA IDPs in Camps

It was shocking news for the people like us to hear that people in a large number were displaced from their native areas mostly in Bajor , Swat and other areas of FATA due to fighting between military and militants. SRD (Society for Rights and Development) a civil society organization working for the welfare of the marginalized people of the society and their development. The number of camps surveyed:

Total four camps of IDPs established in the different districts of NWFP were visited where the condition of the internally displaced people was keenly witnessed; their needs and problems were heard and various issues related to their trouble and miseries were also discussed with them. During survey it was observed that IDPs were mainly from the areas where the fighting was going on between the government forces and Taliban. Most of the camps studied were having people from Bajour while there were few people who had come from the adjacent turbulent Agency like Mohamnd, but the number of such affected people in camps was negligible. Till filing of this report there were such reports that mass migration have started from the Mohmand Agency where it is stated that government security forces and Taliban have stuck the horns and a fierce fighting has initiated where vulnerable civilian population was easily to be hit and that, s the reason that people have turned towards relatively safer places of the NWFP while some are reported to have migrated towards neighboring Afghanistan where these people have started living in camps established by the Kabul Govt. for the convenience of these affected people. People who are coming from the Mohmand Agency have faced myriad problems and one is very horrific when the affected families were crossing the river Kabul in a boat which unfortunately suddenly capsized due to apparently stray bombardment of the security forces on the boat of affectees. The local persons came to the rescue of the drowned and saved them all after hectic efforts but it was sad to hear that one child lost his precious life in this incident.

The migration is still on and people are worried looking for shelter. Some people happen to get space in the houses of the relatives who are already residing in Peshawar and surrounding villages. But the problems of IDPs so much that it is not easy for one to sort them out and co-ordinated efforts are needed to be taken.

Total No. of the families in Kachagari is 1137

Total No. of families in Palosa is 475

Total No. of families in Benazir Camp is 399

Total No. of families in Sheikh Yaseen Camp is 516

This is the number of families till filling of this report but it is expected that the number is going to increase with each passing day as situations in the warring areas are intensified and more and more people are coming to camps which are already having no space for the IDPs.

People in camps usually complain that they are not provided with what they are needed and the attitudes of the camps administration is not satisfactory. Muhammad Akbar a victim of Bajour who recently resides in Kachagari camp complained that he had been in camp for last two months but he was not given any thing by the administration or any aid agencies. It was also found that electricity facility was not provided to any of the camps mentioned above and when the administration was asked their reply was that they could not do it as soon as people are more and resources are few. As for as sanitation and drinking water were concerned the people in camps said that they were facing problems to fetch water while in Benazir Camp Risalpur it was witnessed that small children were fetching water on their heads and shoulders from the mosque which was at a distance of more than one furlong. Children complained that they were molested by some of the people in mosque and directed not to use the facility. The water of Risalpur is not favorable to be used as for drinking purpose and it is the main reason that people in camps were having problems of stomach , constipation and other related diseases. One affected person who disclosed his name as Sardar from Loye sam area of Bajour said that he had 9 children but still he lived with his nephew because camp administration was unwilling to register him as IDP, though he was badly hit and his entire resources left there and came to camp empty handed to save his and his children heads. A child Amanulla khan who was named after King Amanullah khan of Kabul and a well known reformer who wanted enlightenment and education for his people , said in a choking voice that he was in class 6 in Nawagi a tehsil of Bajour, before crisis started but here he was not going to school as the camp had not such facility up to middle classes. He was living in camp of Kacha gari Peshawar along with his family for last one month.

As for as security of the kacha gari is concerned it was the worst because just in front of my own eyes a man was deprived of his Toyota double cabin on the gun point. Inayat rehman a small child who was playing in the dust of the camp said that he had a nice school in his village but his present school though does not match but still he can not say the word bad for his present school in camp. The flower like sweet faces of the innocent children were gloomy unknowingly while playing in the dust which had affected their hair and faces badly. The numbers of the latrines/baths were more but due to unhygienic condition they were so smelly that a living being could not have to stay along with. Fuel facility was not provided to the affectees and they were to bring the gas and wood from the nearby market if they could afford to buy while most of them were not in position to purchase items from the market due to non availability of the money. Schools in camps were mostly of the primary level but the deficiencies of the teachers have also hit the school going children badly. Small girls were found not going to school due to several reasons but the most prominent was that female teachers were not employed in the schools and girls in most cases are not allowed to get admitted in boy's schools. Most of the people expressed the fear of being vulnerable as the security of the camps were not satisfactory except Palosa where constable was found standing alert before a closed door. People also demanded for the wall around them as kacha gari camp has no such basic need. In Benazir camp Risalpur it was heard from the wise people that their women in camp wished to sew clothes for market and for their own children but they needed sewing machines which had not. If provided either by government or some aid agencies or individuals their miseries would be minimized to some extent. It was observed that the women were skilled in sewing and other embroidery works. It was demanded that such women should be utilized for their skill. There were most families in al most all camps which were unregistered and wanted to be registered but due to bureaucratic tactics such families were put in trouble and asked to leave camp while the families were reluctant to leave as they have no other alternative.

In Benazir Camp, which is named after Benazir Bhutto, the first woman prime minister of Pakistan who was mercilessly assassinated in last year December in Rawalpindi a city of the Punjab province of Pakistan after a rally which was addressed by her, there were two small sisters who were blind were found helpless who had a teenage brother and was not able to provide them with basic necessities of life. The scene of the two blind sisters was so sad that one had to shed tear. Their names were usmania and Nasia. They were in a very shabby position.

Gulzada ,a senior man from charming of the Bajour was looking gloomy and could say nothing while Muhammad Haleem of Riasat Bajour was very upset who had some problem of tumor in his throat recalling good old peaceful days in his native village before the crisis. Badil Haram was a lady of 40 years but looking of 60 years due to miseries whose husband had died and she was heard to be living with his relative in their tent. She was a mother of several orphan children who had nothing to eat. The said lady was heard while weeping that her children slept last night without having anything to eat. She was really in a distress. Said Raheem an octogenarian was found ill and poor saying that he buried several of his family during crisis. He was sad and gloomy .He complained that administration was not distributing items equally. Subhan khan a young man of 25 and graduate had volunteered himself to the cause of education of the small children of his camp (Benazir Camp) though himself he was a victim of the war and living in the same camp along with his people. Bilal a a small boy narrated his ordeal while carrying his jar of the water on his head saying that both Taliban and Pakistan Army were hitting them while he was sure that Afghanistan would never hit them. School books, pencils and copies were the demand of the school going children and teachers a like. People in Sheikh yaseen camp Mardan hesitated to leave the camp for another place of Jalozai, a village near pabbi Nowshera where Afghans were residing during their ordeal in Afghanistan . Raheem Gul who identified himself as the president of the camp though the camp administration rejected it , saying that they were not ready to leave the place rather a camp should be established for them in Dir district which is bordering Bajour Agency. It was also demanded if the government of Pakistan is unable to lessen our troubles it will be better to open Afghanistan – Pakistan border(Durand line) for them so that they may go to Afghanistan.

ANP and militants both are closing Schools

The education Minister of Pashtunkhwa Province Sardar Hussain Babak
who is a crownless king like Maghul emperor Akbar the great few days
ago issued the order for closure of the Schools in the province he has
been ruling but with no writ of the state. Some of the private schools
were unable to obey the order of the crownless and throwneless above
mentioned king due to some reasons who very quickly and smartly
ordered to cancel the affiliation of the such Schools with the
Peshawar Board. There are such huge Schools whose number of the
male/Female both students exceed more than 4000. One such unfortunate
School which came under the wrath of the Minister(King) is known as
ITTEFAQ MODEL SCHOOL situated in Surizai Bala about 8 kilometers in
South of Peshawar where more than 4000 students Male/Female of the
Momand , Khalil and Afridi tribes have been studying under the
auspices of its efficient and highly qualified Principal Mr. Tariq
khan Durrani who is a well-known education imparting education to
those who are the children of Khodai khidmatgaran but today they are
buried under mounds of mud in their graves and have become a history
but hoping they would be turning restless in their peaceful abodes to
have heard the mal- treatment of mr.King with their children and that
too on some conspiracy of conspirators who have long affiliation with
the parties always remained antagonistic with Khodai khidmatgaran.
One who is unable to distinguish between horse and donkey should leave
to lead the Proud Pashtun nation for GOD sake. This is a drama and
these so called leaders have become like laughing stocks and people
are laughing at them. The above mentioned School who’s Principal is
the son of a well known Khodai Kidmatagar of the area and at presently
their home is called as Wali Bagh but still this school was chosen to
be punished by the conspirators or some black sheep in department. I
am not writing this message that I have enmity with this party or
people but as a voter of the ANP and an affectee I deserve to raise my
concern and apprise those sitting on helm of affairs like AFRASIAB
KHATTAK. Militant terrorist Taliban and ANP at least should have a
difference. Both are discouraging education. One destroys our
buildings while other is bent upon to close our schools which are
unacceptable to us. They will try to discourage us but we will have to
work and will never be tired to lose our hearts to help those who help
the Pashtun children imparting modern day knowledge.

Chairman Pashtun Democratic Council Zar ali khan musazai has welcomed the maiden address of the President Obama to the Muslim world. He said that Obama made it clear to the Muslims that America and American people are not against Muslim world or Islam. The Muslims all over the world have lauded it and expressed satisfaction over the address of the President Obama. This address will hopefully address the misconceptions among the Muslim world about the America. He said that such steps are positive and should be lauded but at same time Muslim world should also not forget that this has also deficiencies and holding merely America for all its woes and troubles is not a just. Zar ali khan further said that dialogue is the best way to bring the people closer and at the same time Muslim world will have to accept the rights of its people who are still subjects and slaves under the despots Muslim monarchs who have been ruling with iron hands in a ruthless manner. Terrorism and all its forms are unacceptable and democracy should prevail in Muslim world where people should be considered as citizens with all human rights including the rights of women who are the worst victims in the Muslim world and their rights are violated. In our region the girls schools are destroyed which means that terrorists and their mentors wish to see the Pashtun women as ignorant and make Pashtun people deaf and blind about the modern day world and its benefits .Democracy is the best way to solve our lingering issues. International community is further demanded that Pashtun should not be left alone in this hour of need where we people are facing the monster of terrorism. We assure the world that we Pashtun will be standing with the international community to flush the terrorism from our region. All those who have extended their assistance with Pashtun IDPs are our friends and hoping they would continue assisting our people in future.

Chairman Pashtun Democratic Council Zar Ali Khan Musazai has strongly condemned the Statement of the Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani in which he demanded of Americans to force Afghan Government to accept to fence the Durand line and make it as a permanent border between two countries.

He said that Pashtun/Afghans will never accept Durand Line as a permanent border between two countries and to fence it is never acceptable to Afghan living both sides of the Durand line. It is a line drawn forcefully which has artificially divided one nation into two parts in1893 at a time when English were ruling India. English drew this line without the consent of the Pashtun/Afghans.Since the time Pashtun/Afghans have not realized this as a border and will not do so in future.

It is true that Americans are the friends of Pashtun/Afghan and we do know that they will help us in the solution of our problems but as for as the fencing of Durand line is concerned we request them and international community to force Pakistani leadership to avoid further miseries of Pashtun/Afghan and help them in resolving of their issues which will make this nation to get united and this is the real solution of all the problems in region. Taking Pashtun /Afghan away from each other will never help in elimination of terrorism rather it needs commitment, sincerity and honesty on the part of Islamabad. Pashtun Democratic Council demands of International Community to help Pashtun/Afghans get united and take this issue very serious. It is not a problem of the two states that they will sit together and say O.K. It is a long standing demand of a nation which has been kept separated for more than 100 years artificially. He has also urged upon all Pashtun/Afghans living every where in the world to stand united and appraise the world about their problems and get them informed that Durand Line is not a border and Pashtun/Afghans will never accept it as one because this is the issue of a nation survival.

This was shocking news to hear that terrorists and miscreants bombed the holy tomb of the Pashto language greatest mystic poet Rehman Baba situated in Hazar khwani village of Mahmand tribe of Pashtun/Afghan in the south of Peshawar city.. It was about 5pm when my eyes suddenly opened due to a big bang of the explosion. It does not mean that I was lying near to the site where this unfortunate incident occurred, but actually the intensity of the explosion was so severe that it shook the suburb of the Peshawar city and the sound could be heard at a distance of more than 8-9 kilometers in radius of Peshawar from the shrine of Rehman Baba. This was further shocking when I was called by one of friends in morning that the big bang we heard in dawn was of the terrorist explosion went off in the mausoleum of Baba. This unfortunate tragic news saddened me a lot and immediately thought that miscreants who committed this heinous crime could not be named as Pashtun, Muslims and human being. Such unlucky and mean terrorists committed a crime which could not be pardoned at any cost. Rehman baba is a mystic poet of Pashto language who preached love, humanity and fraternity in the world. He taught people to spread message of peace and humanity. He asks people to learn to be human being. Pashtun/Afghan all over the world shows him great respect and reverence and there is no single Pashtun who will oppose him. He is a person who has no enmity with no one and he is respected by all and sundry alike. Baba in Pashto language is one who is the most dignified personality among the Pashtun/Afghan and Rehman baba comes at the top of such list of the Pashtun. Besides, Khushal Baba, Mirwais neeka (Baba) and Ahmad shah baba are the dignified and greatest personalities of the Pashtun/Afghan nation. These are the persons who have made place in the hearts of Pashtun and have made the history. Any one dares to show disrespect to the said personality’s means that he/she invites wrath and rage of the Pashtun/Afghan. The unfortunate incident happened to the grave of Rehman baba caused great unrest and angered Pashtun / Afghan and his followers. This is intolerable. Pashtun show respect to the graves of the people and wish other to respond in same manner. Bombing tomb of Rehman baba means a clear declaration of war against Pashtun/Afghan. Pashtun are being burnt in fire for last 30 years in fire. Their houses destroyed, schools and colleges demolished, hospitals ruined, roads and entire infrastructure bombed and made debris. Pashtun children were made ignorant and illiterate.. The purpose behind was to get this nation forget its past history, its culture, its language, its leaders, its politicians, its Mashran, its religious entities, its poets, its heroes, its brave deeds, its land and national cohesion and Unity. This is our past and we are proud of it. We are proud of our history, culture, language, geography, poets, politicians and their brave deeds and never repent what our elders have done. For last 30 years on one pretence or other Pashtun/Afghan have been forced to forget their history and leave their culture and adopt the orthodox and fundamental type of dogmatic belief which has no relation with religion Islam rather it is a particular belief of Arabs. This exercise is being practiced by some misled and strayed minds and wish to destroy all what shows a little bit difference with their particular kind of dogma. People need to show tolerance and endurance. Every one should have to have a courage and steadfastness to stand boldly and face this storm which has been hitting the heads of Pashtun since long. But unfortunately such inhuman deeds are being performed by the state agencies and support these for the ulterior motives under a well cooked conspiracy to defame the Pashtun nation for being named as terrorists. The culture of Pashtun is at stake. Pashtun singers/Artistes are kidnapped by militants and get released on the condition that they will be bound to go to Lahore, a city of Punjab where they will have to spend 120 days in Tableegh(A preaching Islamic religious group of Lahore brand ). Among them who is unwilling to go to Lahore then he/she is intimidated to the extent that leaves the country and settles abroad. One who sings for Pashtun, he is punished and orders him to forsake singing? When poets and singers are disrespected and discouraged how language and literature will be promoted. This will destroy the Pashtun/Afghan nation. All Pashtun intellectuals, Poets, Politicians, Literary minds, students, teachers, Journalists and Pashtun belonging to all walks of life should have to wake up from deep slumber to protect their past, brighten the present and leave good for future posterity.

Future of the youth is at stake

Pashtun dominated areas have been under the war for almost last 3 decades. Similarly these areas have remained as the centers and nurseries for the terrorists and their activities. If one thinks over the reason, he or she will definitely realize soon that Pashtun territories lack education; face a conflict of the world powers of their interests, geographical status of this region, and a unique culture of the people inhibiting these areas also matters for the disturbed political situations. Before September 11, 2001, the world was almost unaware of this region or it had closed her eyes intentionally what so ever. The said sad incident opened the eyes of the entire world and the international community realized that there are areas called Afghanistan, Tribal territories and other Pashtun areas bordering Pakistan. Americans and NATO forces landed in Afghanistan after Washington was hit by terrorists where thousands innocent souls lost their lives which saddened the humanity as a whole. As the foreign forces under the umbrella of the UN came this act brought the black era of the terrorist Taliban to an end and a war against terror initiated. This will be an other question as to how much success is there in the war against terror for the last 8 years but it is above any doubt that the youth of this region have felt a deep impact on them. Terrorist activities have found a way towards tribal territories and other Pashtun areas under a well cooked conspiracy which almost all know and here I would like to avoid for the understood reasons.
When war started in Afghanistan against Taliban terrorists, the leadership of Al-Qaida and Taliban all came to tribal areas to get shelter and use the area as a shelter from where they would have to fire bullet against the peace keeping forces and fragile democratic government of Afghanistan. These elements remained silent for quite some time in the mountainous region but when the Americans went to Iraq to fight a war there these terrorists once again re-grouped and started attacks on the forces in Afghanistan. Suicide attacks increased. The youth who are used as suicidal attackers, their ages are usually between 14-25 years. There is a question as to why these youngsters are easily used for this heinous and inhuman act? The real responsibility lies on the shoulders of the ruling class. Rulers have been repeatedly saying that steps should be taken to curb such inhuman activities but practical steps are yet to seen on the grounds. The responsible people fail here to at least to describe what are the factors and reasons which have turned the youth to commit these terrorist activities. If we put a cursory view on the education institutions of the Pashtun areas, could we claim that these institutions in question furnish an education based on real scientific approach? Certainly our answer will be a big No. We can not claim that our education is based on the scientific approach. The education provided here, is almost redundant and out-dated. The number of education institutions is also not sufficient as to all youth could be accommodated in. When youth come out of these educational institutes, employment opportunities are also few or not it all for them where they could utilize their expertise and serve people. Philosophers say that a living being will do something but this is not clear whether his/her act will be for the benefit of the people or otherwise. In Pashtun areas all the ways leading towards good are closed. Now we should understand the fact that youth will find out new ways for them. So in such circumstances the youth are easily entrapped by the extremist and terrorist camps and they are used for the ulterior motives which are totally against humanity and established norms of the society. The Political leadership is to be held equally responsible. They do not seek access to the youth to promote them as the political workers and turn them the good citizens. They do not teach them political education. At same time parents are also responsible, because their children do not get proper time which they need for their proper brought up. Parents do not bother to ask as to who are the people whom their children sit with. What is their thinking? And what do these people do with their children?
If the situations are not improved, it is feared that a political anarchy and civil war will launch and then controlling it will not be possible. So this is our obligation to ponder over the worst situations and do not help taking it from bad to worse and on wards.
The present dirt prevailing on our soil has not been accumulated in a day or two but this process has taken a lot of time. We have to collectively get our hands united to take our people, land and youth to a brighter dawn and promising future where they could prove to be more positive and more constructive not only for our homeland but for the rest of the world as well.

What do people in Buner think about ongoing war?

About 3 million people from restive Swat, Buner and Dir migrated to comparatively safer areas of Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Peshawar and some others in down Pakistan , a small number where these IDPs were restricted to settle or encamp. In other three provinces of Pakistan some political parties and individuals opposed the entry of IDPs from Pashtun areas. This approach has certainly hit the minds of Pashtun whom have been continuously told that their migration would mean Survival of Pakistan but unfortunately those who were used to save the Pakistan for elite were denied entry into the same Pakistan which compelled Pashtun to think over their future strategy. These and many other like these are the questions which arise in the minds of Pashtun IDPs. Few days ago when I was in Buner to ask about the condition of those who were struck there and could not come out due to continued curfew and mischief of the religious terrorists. During my discussion with people they often asked questions like as to why the leadership of the militants was still intact? Where are the dead bodies of militants? Why did the provincial government of ANP and Peoples Party sign a peace deal with sufi Muhammad an erstwhile leader of the apparently banned Tehreek Nifazi Shariat Muhammadi who had taken more than 10000 people from the areas in question at a time when the then emirate of the Taliban was debacled after they refused to hand over the Osama to Americans in 2001 who was tipped as the one to target the America. After the treaty was signed the militants started coming to Buner and fought against the local people of Buner. People also launched war in their own defense but the administration did not come to their rescue. In the first time people of the area killed more than 45 militants but later on the then militant commissioner Syed Javed came to rescue of the terrorists and frightened the local people of the repercussions. Local people complained that the said commissioner had used his official car to take an ailing militant to hospital. Commissioner himself was a pro militant man who promoted the terrorism in the region at a time when he was the deputy commissioner of Swat and used to offer prayers after militant Fazlullah .Local people also suspected that local leadership of the Taliban militants was air- lifted to some safer place from Peuchar, Swat as the military and militants are same, they opined. When people were interviewed some of them said that peace could not return to Malakand division until leadership of militants are wiped up and said that the same old method is being repeated again. Some of the people said that Fazlullah and his cronies would not be seen like Osama and Mulla Umar who disappered and are not seen till today. Most of the people did not believe what the military spokesman of Pakistan says to media time and again and were 100% sure that the militants would come again as the dummy operation once comes to an end. Militants are hiding in the mountains and forests. It was also observed that local support was not seen for the militants and terrorists but still people are confirmed in their thinking and practical that the terrorists are the snakes and are reared up by the ISI for ulterior motives to sabotage the development in Afghanistan and foil the Pashtun national movement for the unification. People also said that when operation started the helicopters came, hit some places in the mountains where no terrorist was hiding. They wondered innocently and put the question as to why the terrorists are not targeted and rather they were informed quite some time before the operation started. Almost all people including the children were of the view that the state itself was involved in the destruction of their houses (They were unable to differentiate between Democratic government and military including ISI). Some of the local people who had no area with politics opined that such dramas with Pashtun nation would be continued as the Pakistani establishment was averse to the presence of the American forces in Afghanistan and want Afghanistan to be under its command though this establishment did not understand that Afghanistan is a sovereign country and a proud and capable nation. Afghanistan is going to be a modern democratic state in Asia but the establishment of Pakistan could not tolerate it and does not like to see a strong and a prosperous Afghanistan. Pakistani establishments think that strong Afghanistan means weak Pakistan and this could not be a digestible item for it. Pashtun Afghan living both sides of the Durand line want unification as this is one nation and one people and this should also be clear that only Afghanistan is the historic country of all Afghans. Pashtun are being used in this drama of destruction while the game is prepared in Islamabad and Punjab and this is a fact that today many Punjabis Taliban are fighting in Tribal area and Swat who have come from the southern Punjab of Pakistan. The epicenter is Punjab but the product is sent to Pashtun areas. International community should think over it before the milk is split and then crying over it would be useless and if Americans and foreign forces lose in Afghanistan then the terrorists would not stop in Kabul. Americans are not hated in Pashtun areas because people understand that they would acquire science and technology and militants have no developmental and social program for Pashtun. Militancy leads to destruction and annihilation which Pashtun hate. Pashtun also understand it that the culture, language, history and geography of the Pashtun Afghans were at stake had the international community not come to Afghanistan. Now Pashtun are tired of war in region and want business and good life for them as well as for the coming generation. They want to see their children getting modern day education. Fighting against each and every one is not the contract of Pashtun. Pashtun want to go side by side with the international community and civilized world but international community will have to bring Pashtun closer as friends for the perennial peace and prosperity in Pashtun region including Afghanistan.

The boundary between Afghanistan and Pakistan takes it name from Sir Henry Mortimer Durand, foreign secretary of British India, who concluded an agreement with Amir Abdul Rahman Khan (ruled 1880-1901) of Afghanistan on 12 November 1893. This agreement formally adjusted the "the eastern and southern frontier of His Highness's dominions, from Wakhan to the Persian border." The history of the Durand Line goes back to the Treaty of Gandumak, signed in May 1879 between British Major Louis Cavagnari and the Afghan Amir Mohammad Ya'qub Khan during the Second Anglo-Afghan War of 1879-80. According to provisions of the Gandumak Agreement, the British were to maintain a military and diplomatic presence in Afghanistan and control its foreign policy. Also, Britain was granted jurisdictional control of the three strategically significant frontier districts of Kurram, Sibi, and Pishin. However, when the Gandumak plan failed to achieve peace, the British
opted to leave Afghanistan, but to ensure that it remained a buffer state between their own Indian empire and the Russian empire in Central Asia.
Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani in a recent meeting held with American Home land secretary of security where he demanded of Americans to force Afghan Government to accept to fence the Durand line and make it as a permanent border between two countries.

Pashtun/Afghans will never accept Durand Line as a permanent border between two countries and to fence it is never acceptable to Afghan living both sides of the Durand line. It is a line drawn forcefully which has artificially divided one nation into two parts in1893 at a time when English were ruling India. English drew this line without the consent of the Pashtun/Afghans.Since the time Pashtun/Afghans have not realized this as a border and will not do so in future.

It is true that Americans are the friends of Pashtun/Afghan and we do know that they will help us in the solution of our problems but as for as the fencing of Durand line is concerned Pashtun/Afghan request them and international community to force Pakistani leadership to avoid further miseries of Pashtun/Afghan and help them in resolving of their issues which will make this nation to get united and this is the real solution of all the problems in region. The Durand Line was demarcated by the British and signed into a treaty in 1893 with the Afghan ruler Amir Abdur Rehman Khan. The treaty was to stay in force for a 100-year period. According to Afrasiab Khattak, a political analyst, the areas from the Khayber Agency Northwards to Chitral, however, remained un-demarcated.

This disputed land was legally to be returned to Afghanistan in 1993 after the 100 year old Durand Treaty expired, similar to how Hong Kong was returned to China. Kabul has refused to renew the Durand Line treaty since 1993 when it expired, throughout, years, Pakistan has tried to get Afghan Warlords and Taliban to sign a renewal contract of the Treaty, and thankfully they didn’t not fall for the treachery of Pakistan. One of the reasons Pakistan faced problems with the Kabul rulers right from its inception was Kabul's claim over the North West frontier Province. (NWFP) Kabul never accepted that line or the fact that the NWFP is part of Pakistan.
The Durand Line stretches 2,640 kilometers (1,610 miles). Afghanistan's loya jirga or 'tribal court' of 1949 declared the Durand Line invalid as they saw it as ex parte on their side (since British India ceased to exist in 1947 with the independence of Pakistan.
The British presented a signed document with the person of King Abdul Rahman Khan in 1893 referring to the borders between Afghanistan and British India. This document was in English and the person of Abdul Rahman Khan did not understand the English language, therefore leads the suspicious nature of forgery and or false documentation. The Dari or Pashto translation of this document or agreement has never been signed by Amir Abdul Rahman Khan, suggesting that he nullified this agreement.
Durand Line Agreement is an illegal agreement, and therefore, it is null and void
Agreement between Amir Abdur Rahman Khan, G. C. S. I., and Sir Henry Mortimer Durand, K. C. I. E., C. S. I.
Whereas certain questions have arisen regarding the frontier of Afghanistan on the side of India, and whereas both His Highness the Amir and the Government of India are desirous of settling these questions by friendly understanding, and of fixing the limit of their respective spheres of influence, so that for the future there may be no difference of opinion on the subject between the allied Governments, it is hereby agreed as follows:
The eastern and southern frontier of his Highness’s dominions, from Wakhan to the Persian border, shall follow the line shown in the map attached to this agreement.

The Government of India will at no time exercise interference in the territories lying beyond this line on the side of Afghanistan, and His Highness the Amir will at no time exercise interference in the territories lying beyond this line on the side of India.

The British Government thus agrees to His Highness the Amir retaining Asmar and the valley above it, as far as Chanak. His Highness agrees, on the other hand, that he will at no time exercise interference in Swat, Bajaur, or Chitral, including the Arnawai or Bashgal valley. The British Government also agrees to leave to His Highness the Birmal tract as shown in the detailed map already given to his Highness, who relinquishes his claim to the rest of the Waziri country and Dawar. His Highness also relinquishes his claim to Chageh.

The frontier line will hereafter be laid down in detail and demarcated, wherever this may be practicable and desirable, by joint British and Afghan commissioners, whose object will be to arrive by mutual understanding at a boundary which shall adhere with the greatest possible exactness to the line shown in the map attached to this agreement, having due regard to the existing local rights of villages adjoining the frontier.

With reference to the question of Chaman, the Amir withdraws his objection to the new British cantonment and concedes to the British Governmeni the rights purchased by him in the Sirkai Tilerai water. At this part of the frontier the line will be drawn as follows.

From the crest of the Khwaja Amran range near the Psha Kotal, which remains in British territory, the line will run in such a direction as to leave Murgha Chaman and the Sharobo spring to Afghanistan, and to pass half-way between the New Chaman Fort and the Afghan outpost known locally as Lashkar Dand. The line will then pass half-way between the railway station and the hill known as the Mian Baldak, and, turning south-wards, will rejoin the Khwaja Amran range, leaving the Gwasha Post in British territory, and the road to Shorawak to the west and south of Gwasha in Afghanistan. The British Government will not exercise any interference within half a mile of the road.

The above articles of' agreement are regarded by the Government of India and His Highness the Amir of Afghanistan as a full and satisfactory settlement of all the principal differences of opinion which have arisen between them in regard to the frontier; and both the Government of India and His Highness the Amir undertake that any differences of detail, such as those which will have to be considered hereafter by the officers appointed to demarcate the boundary line, shall be settled in a friendly spirit, so as to remove for the future as far as possible all causes of doubt and misunderstanding between the two Governments.

Being fully satisfied of His Highness’s goodwill to the British Government, and wishing to see Afghanistan independent and strong, the Government of India will raise no objection to the purchase and import by His Highness of munitions of war, and they will themselves grant him some help in this respect. Further, in order to mark their sense of the friendly spirit in which His Highness the Amir has entered into these negotiations, the Government of India undertake to increase by the sum of six lakhs of rupees a year the subsidy of twelve lakhs now granted to His Highness.
